Summary
The First Time series concludes with an enemies to lovers romance that has been a long time coming. August and Paisley finally figure out what they’ve been missing.
The first time I got married, I watched the man I love walk away from me.
The second time around, I’m the one signing the dotted line first—this one a man who I realized I never loved.
Once burned, twice broken, I’m done looking for love.
Only my first ex-husband seems to be everywhere I turn—at my work, with my friends, and eventually…in my bed.
I didn’t mean for it to happen.
Twice.
But I know if I don’t protect my heart, there will be nothing left of me if he walks away again without telling me why he did so in the first place.
I don’t know if I can trust this new version of ourselves or if it’s merely the heat between us striking hot.
After all, second chances only exist in my dreams.
And there’s no such thing as a second chance husband.

Paisley and August!
Paisley is struggling with her divorce not because her marriage ended but because she should never have married him when the feelings she has for August, her first husband, are unresolved. This is further complicated by the fact that she is friends with August’s family so avoiding each other is no longer possible.
August had his reasons for ending his marriage with Paisley however it wasn’t because he didn’t love her. Spending time with her forces him to face the feelings he has always had for her, but will this be their second chance or are they destined for heartbreak once again?
Both Paisley and August find themselves dealing with family drama which had and continues to impact their relationship. I enjoyed the portrayal by the narrators as you could feel that the love between them was never in question, the chemistry between them was undeniable and I enjoyed seeing them find their way back to each other through this angst filled journey.

Oh my goodness
i started this one and I was just going to listen to a title bit, I had so many things to do, hat did not last, instead I found myself hiding from the family desperate for the ending to see if these characters could find a happy ending after so much drama and heartbreak.
So much pride and hiding, twists and turns left me loving this book so much. I loved Paisley so much she was such an entertaining character and listening to her journey was amazing.

A great second-chance romance
Audio Review
Dual narration by Gregory Salinas and Jo Raylan
This was a great second chance romance and at marriage story! Paisley and August’s story had me curious throughout the previous books and I loved learning how they navigated their feelings and never stopped loving the other. A little bit of enemies to lovers but with so much heartbreak in the mix. My heart hurt for both of them and their experiences and what they endured to get to their happily ever after. This author did a great job with a trope I don't always love and kept my interest throughout the book. It great to catch up with the other characters and how their relationships have bloomed.
The narration by both Gregory Salinas and Jo Raylan was enjoyable and they captured the emotions of the story and fit the characters.

Together are last! Again…
Paisley is a little frustrated with her second divorce. She is a successful woman with an ex-husband that does not deserve her. August, his first ex-husband, finds her at a bar, out of her wits. This couple has love written all over them but there’s a hidden reason August divorced her and keeps away from her. When they finally give each other a second chance there’s so much fire in their relationship. I couldn’t wait for them to finally come clean and start what shouldn’t have stopped. Loved it!

Woohoo August and Paisley!
OMG I was so hoping that August and Paisley would have an HEA together and I was not disappointed.
Their story is one of 'meant to be together' and enduring love.
Secrets and manipulation ended their first attempt at happiness but with Second Chance Husband they make the most of the second chance they've been afforded.
Definitely a novel to devour for believers in 'love conquers all'...it's a winner!

Fantastic
Second Chance Husband - First Time series by Carrie Ann Ryan
Paisley and August are divorced but Paisley still doesn’t understand really why but fast forward and Paisley getting divorced again to her current husband. No one knows what been going on in Paisley marriage and worst her horrible relationship with her mother.
I love how Paisley and August reconnect but they are still part of each other lives because august brothers/cousin are married to Paisley’s friends.
Fantastic narration, Carrie Ann Ryan has a great ear for narrators that fit her style.
Absolutely love Carrie Ann Ryan and this series is really great. Looking forward to more Cage family.
