A different approach to a crime story

Most stories of this ilk are all about the hero cop - not this one!
This is all about the perpetrator and the reasons behind the crime. The story brings together many characters and examines domestic abuse from the victims viewpoint very cleverly.
A great listen and loved how the narrator brought the characters to life.
I look forward to the second audible book.

Brilliantly written, enthralling & fun!

A brilliantly well written crime story. It is peppered with amazing sense of humour throughout, even in the most critical situations. Such is the author’s enthralling and unique style.

The characters are alive and the murderer’s mentality is really relatable and evokes sympathy and understanding. A great study of a domestic abuse issue in a captivating investigative setting.

Really enjoyed this book and well narrated

This is a new author to me and as I saw partly based in Norfolk, where my parents live I thought I would give it a try.
I must say I enjoyed it very much even though its not really a who done it as you find out fairly early who did it, which disappointed me at first, BUT you really do get into the characters especially the main character who isn't the detective.
In fact you hardly hear much from DCI Greg Geldard (don't fret in book 2 he is the main character and its a who done it book)
The narration is very good not sure what the other reviewer didn't like about him,
I've nearly finished book 2 and have already downloaded book 3

Compelling listening

Welcome to a new fictional detective. A story that gathers pace across two counties and a social message.

Terrible narration

I liked the premise of this book but the book as a whole was dire! It was so badly written and just plain silly! The characters were not particularly well drawn and how I got to the end with awful narration I don’t know!
