Summary
Sometimes your dream guy isn’t who you think he is.
Sem has been stalking me for months. He shows up everywhere I am and lurks in the background, his eyes always on me. I don’t understand his fascination with me, but he won’t leave me alone.
He’s definitely not my type. He’s too big, too reckless, and too feral.
But then one night he breaks into my apartment and dares me to do something crazy and I can’t say no.
Then I do it again. And again.
Now it seems we’re both addicted to this secret little game.
But when I begin to see the man beneath the brutish exterior, will falling in love prove to be the most reckless bet yet?
Warning: this story deals with bullying and contains some homophobic language.

Cora does it again
Having met Sem & Magnus in Whit I was really looking forward to them . Warning don’t start listening at 1am in the morning as you’ll laugh out loud and annoy your family 😆 The interaction between them both was hilarious at time and when Magnus had to face his family and Sem wouldn’t let him change who he was made my heart melt. I’m off to start Emery now .

Emotional rollercoaster
Unlike some other books that have you dying to know for chapters if they will stay together I loved how this story evolved. The character development was great, there was even a time I cried which I wasn’t expecting! I loved the raw passion and energy from both and the narration as always was sublime.

Dear Lord of llama bowties!!!
Conflicting, yes. But oh so good!
This book gave me conflicting thoughts. One part of me spent the whole time thinking that Sem should really be committed (or arrested)… but then, other (probably bigger) part didn’t want to see him away from Magnus. So there’s that!
Also, most of the van Beek pastimes involve things I have strong opinions against (of course, guns!!). So, why did I laugh so much?!
After reading the first book, I didn’t expect these two characters to gel so well. But Cora Rose managed to make sense out of them. The story’s rhythm is a plus, with no time wasted on dead moments or unnecessary fluff.
Well, in the end, conflicting as it might be, I really enjoyed the book!
----------
As for Whit, the previous title in the series, the narration felt quite a bit imbalanced. Probably, even more so.
Having already read the ebook before listening, I was AMAZED BY ALEXANDER CENDESE.... He made Magnus even better and quirkier!!!! Liam DiCosimo is a great narrator but, perhaps, not the best fit for a duet with Cendese.

I do like a cute stalker book.
I did not really like the "voice" the actor gave Maggie. It made a really likeable character annoying.
