About this listen

He's gone, and the worst part is, I don't know if he's dead or alive.

I dealt with the curse. I picked my side. The hellish nightmare that I woke up to when I discovered I was a Watcher should be over, but it's not. Weeks have passed with no sign of Gage, and I can't seem to move on, but a war is brewing, and wallowing is no longer an option. With the ruler of the Netherworld after me, my new mission not only affects one realm, but all of them.

Save my mom. Save the souls. Save the world.

No pressure.

A great second installment

I received a free copy of this audiobook in return for an honest review.

This is proving to be an enjoyable and very listenable-to series. The story is absorbing and the characters are well thought out. Vanessa Moyen does a great job as always - she's one of my favourite narrators. It ends on a cliffhanger again, and there's plenty hinted at to look forward to in book 3!

The Shadow Angels Series

5* narrative, 5* overall but only 4* story as I felt book 2 dragged on too much but I'm still excited to head to book 3 now 😍

Gage is back. Or is he?

Wow. Talk about a non-stop action ride! My mind is still reeling from all the events that happened in this book, along with all the info that we just learned. #mindblown I must admit I was a bit reluctant to start this sequel since, even though I did want to find out how things kept going after that cliffhanger, starting a book with main characters/couple separated is one of my least favorite parts. Still, I'm glad it didn't take long for Gage to make his (re) appearance, though it was clear things weren't going to be as easy peasy as we (and Tatum) would like them to be (when are things easy in these books? Ha). Anyway, there are some shocking deaths, some fun and intriguing additions, newly revealed or more fully developed powers for Tatum (#ghosts #England), and some really tough decisions to make, all while having the best support group/found family/gang one could ever wish for (I loved understanding more of Dash's background).

Vanessa continues to nail pretty much every single character and every single shred of emotion each of them goes through. Seriously, from shock to wanting to strangle someone, to being worried, to fear, to husky tones, and everything in between, her performance is really, really good.

Overall, a fast-paced, action-packed, swoony sequel that will both satisfy readers and leave them wanting the next installment as soon as they finish this one. ~ 4.5 stars

Content:
Sex: None. There are a handful of steamy kisses with tongues mentioned but nothing further. There's also mention of male characters without shirts on, and a scene where one girl is ogling a guy's backside and another agrees with her.
Language: yes. Mostly d*mns, and b*st*rd.
Violence: yes (it's Paranormal Urban Fantasy).
Other: mentions different realms, where one of them is Purgatory.

Shadow Angel: Book 2

A lovely follow on straight from the end of the last, as some of the secrets get reviled Tatum gets hard to put things right. Read brilliantly again by Vanessa Moyen.

Good story and fast pace

Great follow up to book one. Following the style of the first book you do jump right into the story and the action. I do wish some parts were fleshed out slightly more buy everything flowed well. I quite enjoyed the interactions with Tate and Gage. Overall it's a great listen.

Excellent instalment and narrated wonderfully

This is book 2 in the Shadow Angel series by Julie Hall and Leia Stone. You need to have read the first book, that ended with a cracking almighty cliffy.

It’s been two weeks since Gage entered the Portal. Two weeks and Tatum has spent the entire time waiting where the portal used to be.

Will he come back to her? You just need to read or in my case listen to find out.

This instalment was fast passed and action packed. The story progression and story reveals, made it difficult to put down. I’m really looking forward to more in this series.
