About this listen

Silk & Steel: Eroan, one of the last elven assassins, lives for one purpose: Kill the queen. He would have succeeded if not for her last line of defense: Prince Lysander. Why kill just the queen when he can kill them all? It would be simple, if not for the troubled and alluring dragon prince.

Iron & Fire: From his mother's cage to a human one, but Lysander's captors are the least of his concerns. Rumors of a monstrous bronze dragon ripple through human camps, a dragon tearing great holes in the world as though searching for something...or someone.

Amidst the greatest of elven victories, Eroan failed. But when rumors of the dragon prince's survival reach him, he must choose: Fight for his people or fight for the prince who nobody thought to save?

Blood & Ice: Lysander has never been free to choose his fate. That is about to change. Finally, he learns what it means to be emerald, but knowledge is power, and power whispers its seductive curse into the ear of a broken prince. But as the dragonkin rise under a new king, will Eroan and Lysander's boundless love save the world or destroy it forever?

Contains mature themes.

Gripping

Well written and well narrated but should come with a trigger warning bc there's a lot of SA and some of it detailed.

Couldn't finish this

I enjoyed the first two books however by the third book the plot was repetitive, lackluster and going in circles. lt was becoming more and more of a drag to push myself to listen and finish, so with a few hours left to go I decided to stop.

Good enough

The narration was done very well. However, the books are very repetitive, the smut scenes short unlike is it’s a rape/sexual assault scene which seemed like the author was using to justify actions and drive story as it happens a lot. Overall the story concept was good but could have been better Wittenberg

Great story

I really enjoyed the story and the narration. I'll seek out book four because I liked the MCs brother as a complex character.

Like others have said, there is SA at multiple points in the book and some parts are frankly uncomfortable but I do think they added to the story. This book has a darker narrative than a lot of your typical paranormal stuff. That said,I would recommend it as like I said earlier, the narrator is excellent.

Until it is done

Quite entertaining, loved the world building, and the battles. But woah does this book take a long time to get anywhere. I ended up skipping half of the last book as I was so frustrated at the pace—too much internal angst and monologues. If you like m/m fantasy, it’s pretty fun, but be warned it’s a long slog to get through to the better bits.

Entertaining but Plots a Mess

The premise of this series was really interesting and throughout listening I felt it could’ve been done so much better. I honestly felt that the writing was mediocre at times, especially as there was so much back and forth. It seemed to be a constant with the two main characters leaving each other to go on their separate paths. This would’ve been good but the author always cuts the individual journeys short and that ruins the plot. Overall, this series was interesting enough as I had nothing else to listen to but I would’ve listen to this if I have other books I’m interested in.

No real story

Just kept going back to same thing over and over - porn that was mainly gay porn- which was not what I was expecting.

Gave it 7 hours to see if it would improve but it didn’t so binned it off - not for me I’m afraid!
