one last slice of the cake
…or one last scotch from the bottle. Whichever way you view this final piece from le Carré, it matters not- it’s quality is all you have come to expect from the pen master- thank you David Cornwell- it’s been an utter blast!

Slow Burn Joy
I’ve loved Le Carre since a child. Not read this before so it was a treat to unfold a new story. Toby Jones’ narration is excellent.

Masterfully read
It was hardly a surprise that such a talented actor as Toby Jones would read well. But his control over the inflections given to each of the voices in this fine novel I found a delight to listen to.
