Summary

It was a game, now it's his life.

The Sky Realms Online Books 1-3 Bundle is 30+ hours of epic LitRPG adventure set in a virtual world where anything can happen... maybe even death.

Hall had played the VRMMORPG, Sky Realms Online, since beta. During one gaming session, a freak accident traps Hall and other players in the game. They awaken to find out their bodies are comatose and they have been downloaded fully into the virtual world. Even worse, the rules have changed, they've been forced back to level 1, and permadeath might be possible.

Join Hall and his growing circle of friends and enemies, both Players and NPCs, as they discover that Sky Realms Online is not the same game they knew. New lands, new foes, and new mysteries.

Grayhold (Book 1): Hall finds himself trapped in the game world, but not the game that he remembered. Things have changed. Hall gets his first quests, meets his first friends, and finds what could be his future home.

Silverpeak (Book 2): Now the Lord of a ruined village, Hall takes his first steps toward turning Skara Brae into a real village. A journey to the city of Silver Peak Keep involves Hall and friends in a war between guilds.

Axestorm (Book 3): Skara Brae is growing and it's time to take the next step. Hall and companions journey to the Dwarf fortress of Axestorm Hall in search of an airship. There they encounter more mysteries and another Player, Iron, who is working to conqueror the entire island of Huntley.

Grab this special edition box set today and dive headfirst into the action-packed world of Sky Realms Online. It's a LitRPG saga perfect for fans of J.A. Hunter, Dakota Krout, and Edward Brody.

Good for RPG lit newbies

It's an interesting twist on people balancing game and real life with good main characters and not too much blow by blow fighting. I find the stats rather repetitive but the story makes up for it. Each book leads you further along the storyline and ends with tantalising hints of future twists but each books rounds the current story off nicely.

Great series

Reminiscent of Sword Art Online but with more focus on character development instead of action

Worthy Buy

A successful purchase and a worthy listen as i enjoy the narration on this and the characters brought to life are very likeable with a good development between quests and other relationships they have keeping this a easy listen without too many stats slowing the pace down.
Having a set of 3 also helps in the flow as there is no wait to see what else happens next always something i like in a weighty listen.
I requested this audio and have decided to leave my thoughts for everyone.

Long but a decent listen

38 hours! Yep, I have longer in my library but this was the first time I'd done a box set.

There is much to recommend here; the "how did we get here" is excellent, there is a good plot in how the central character builds a group of friends and the shift of focus away to one of the other characters in the final book as well as the complete absence of an important character in the final book is a brave step and that character's deliverance at the end is quite something.

There is a but; it's a good story but I felt it was a few cycles too long - get quest, accept quest, do quest, fight the bad guys, kill the bad guys, get new quest, accept quest etc. There are a couple of characters who pop up at the start of Book 2 and you wonder if they're going to play an important part in it - and that's their lot; they never reappear.

Overall, yes, I enjoyed it. It's nice to get onto my next book too.

Great series

e this series, it has a great cast of characters, both good guys and baddies. The premise of everyone going back to level 1 but still remembering the game world really works well, especially when the world is not quite the same as what they remember. I would say the series isn't action packed, but this is good as it gives room for the story to grow and adds more depth to the story. While Hall is the mc, the author has given lots of attention to the supporting cast again adding to the overall depth. The quests are well thought out and all move the story along and of course the battles are great. While the star of the show is Troy's writing, the narration by Pavi Proczko is beautifully done. He has a relaxed tone that flows really well and compliments the author's style.
