Summary

What do you do when life keeps pushing you around, dealing you blow after blow? If you’re DJ slaughter, eventually you snap. Follow along from the beginning as a man you might recognize as the guy next door, transforms into one of the most lethal tools in the FBI’s arsenal.

This box set includes the first three novels of the DJ Slaughter Series. Each one is included in its entirety with nothing removed. All 375,000 words are jam-packed with action, humor, and characters you feel like you already know.

Book 1, Slaughter: Origin Story, introduces us to a man who has removed himself from society. Tragedy has stolen everything he ever loved in brutal fashion. When the evils of this world sneak up on him yet again, it finds a man at his breaking point. It finds a man who has had enough. It finds a man just as lethal as the enemy he faces. In this journey, he discovers that he is exceptionally gifted at eradicating the evils of the world.

Book 2, Slaughter: White Out, picks up where Book 1 leaves off. Just like real life, we learn that one set of circumstances often leads us to another. There is always a continuation of some kind. DJ learns that his fight is only beginning and it just got harder. He learns in order to be effective at destroying this new enemy, he must become a team player. So, just as new enemies appear, new allies are formed. The nail-biting conclusion of this thriller leaves with an exciting new beginning for DJ and his team.

Book 3, Slaughter: Skeleton Key, shows us just what this new team dynamic looks like. They are both smart and dangerous. DJ and this new secretive group of the FBI have become a powerful force for good. They pulled together just in time. America is under attack. And this new team will face challenges that they never expected.

"The best new Action, the best new Thriller, the best new Suspense series out there. Couldn’t put it down. I raced through from beginning to end...."

Gripping

A totally gripping series that I just couldn't stop listening. The strong characters and twists and turns in the stories made for several hours of enjoyment. Can't wait to continue this journey.

Awful

Thin repetitive plot with predictable twists. Comic book characters with an indestructible "hero" who kills more villains than Bond, Bourne and Reacher combined, often while seriously wounded. Every cliche in the Thriller genre. Won't be following this series.

obvious stories told in very short sentencea

poorly written short stories made long by the author and narrator thanks to the staccato delivery.

Awful

I persevered until chapter 22 of book 1 but then had to give up. I’ve taught primary school children who’ve written better stories than this. Excruciatingly predictable and unbelievable at the same time and as for the narrator; if I read like that to a class of ten year olds, they’d probably ask me to stop.
I’d like to return the books but audible seem to be against returning rubbish.
