About this listen

Lincoln:

I went from a penthouse to sleeping in a prison cell. From the VP of a million-dollar empire to a felon. All for a crime I didn't commit.

Now that I'm free, I vow to stay out of trouble.

The only problem? She's trouble wrapped in a bow.

Cassidy:

My type? Bad boys. Until my bad boy boyfriend got me arrested.

I've moved to a new town and sworn off relationships.

Until I meet him...my Prince Charming...fresh out of prison.

Trouble and bad boys never felt so good...until it all falls apart.

Cassidy & Lincoln

Straight Up is the third book in the Twisted Fox series.
Cassidy is sassy and confident; Lincoln is sweet and caring. They shouldn’t be perfect for each other but they are. This book had enough banter to keep you hooked, suspense to keep you on your toes and two amazing narrators to keep listening.

4.5 Stars!

Well wasn’t Lincoln and Cassidy’s friendship just the cutest! Loved their journey to lovers!

After a mix up that ends with Cassidy being arrested, she has sworn off bad boys. Only problem is that she’s just met the resident hot bartender at her new job who’s just been released from prison. They just can’t help their chemistry though.

Cassidy was my fav in this. I just loved her personality and the banter she had with Lincoln.

As always, I enjoyed the writing and pacing in this book like the rest of the series.

Great Listen

Charity once again reeled me in with her playful characters and their flirty banter.
Straight up, this series just gets better and better! (See what I did there? 😂)

Cass (all flirt, fun and sass) and Lincoln (loyal to a fault) were all fun and games - fast friends, albeit with crazy chemistry - until they caught feelings.

Having both been wronged in the past they both have reservations and trust issues.

Are they willing to lay their hearts on the line for a chance at love? And what happens when one of them shatters that fragile trust?

Alexander and Savannah did an amazing job bringing these characters to life.

Lincoln and Cassidy's story

This is the 3rd book in the Twisted Fox series and I absolutely loved it! After listening to the previous two audio books, I feel like I am part of the Twisted Fox family - the narrators both did a fantastic job of pulling me in from the start and I love how the author manages to weave the various couples stories from books 1 and 2, into this book.

Lincoln is Asher's brother, who was recently released from prison after covering some illegal ways of his father. Cassidy is a breath of fresh air. She has started working at Twisted Fox as her previous bad relationship ended with her spending a night in jail due to a mix up with her then boyfriend. Both Lincoln and Cassidy have no idea about their pasts, but one things for sure, Cassidy had her eyes set on Lincoln from the start and the feeling was mutual. I just love Cassidy's confident way, her flirting with Lincoln is OTT and their flirty ways had me laughing out loud throughout this audio. Their relationship was honest and open from the start, they did not lie to each other, they just avoided the full truth about their past! As with the previous male characters, Lincoln comes across as ideal boyfriend material but when Cassidy's past catches up with her, how does Lincoln react when she starts to push him away?

I was rooting for Lincoln and Cassidy throughout, not only was their relationship full of banter, the chemistry between them was amazing. I also loved the fact that we were able to share more of what Asher had to deal with in the past. This was not just a journey for Lincoln, but also one for his brother.

You will not be disappointed with this audio. Yet again the author has left me wanting more asap after listening to what is happening to Grace. The combination of the excellent writing skills of Charity Ferrell and the narrators managed to pull me right into the story, I felt like I was part of the Taco Tuesday Gang - something that not many audio books can achieve!

I highly recommend not only this audio book but the series so far - I have not been disappointed and cannot wait to listen to the rest of the series.

Lincoln & Cassidy

There is something about two broken souls coming together to heal. Cassidy has been dealt a tough hand. Blamed for something that was not her fault, she has been evicted from her college, and needs to start new. Lincoln too, has some baggage that is tough to deal with. Loyal to a fault, he found himself in a situation to hard to get out of. Now these two meet in and are working together and things just click. But will their pasts get in their way? I love a good slow burn, and that is exactly what Charity Ferrell gave me. A building friendship that is unbreakable, Cass and Lincoln are the best of friends. Once involved though and their pasts come out, it is a tough call. I love the support systems these two have with their friends, the way they meld together and become a force to be reckoned with. It's a great story and addition to the Twisted Fox series. Now that cliffhanger.....yes, it just leaves me wanting more!!!

Alexander Cendese and Savannah Peachwood narrate this story and boy are they ever good together! Cendese is a master at his voices, and he dials into each personality, finding the best ones for each. I love the expression he has in his voices, pulling me into the story and always making me feel. Peachwood too has that versatility, creating the characters exactly as I imagine, making a realistic feel and tons of emotions. I enjoyed these two and always watch from more of their performances.
