About this listen

Carter Beckett is the NHL’s resident bad boy, top player both on the ice and in the bedroom, and quite possibly the sexiest man to ever grace my field of vision. But worst of all? He knows it.

He’s arrogant, self-centered, and the man doesn’t seem to know what a filter is, let alone how to use one. He’s had everything served to him on a silver platter, including endless strings of women, and apparently, I’m up next.

His only problem? I have no intention of falling for his shi—um, charm.

I have the solution to all my sexual frustrations in a drawer at home, and it’s far less complicated than Carter Beckett. Sure, he may be pretty, but he’s also a walking, talking reminder for you to wrap it before you tap it.

But then I start letting my guard down, and he starts showing me pieces of himself I had no intention of seeing. The bricks surrounding me may be tumbling down one by one, but I’m not sold yet, which means for the first time in his life, Carter’s the one begging.

For my time, my trust, for a single chance. For me to just…consider him.

Consider Me is the first book in the Playing for Keeps series, but it can be listened to as a standalone. It is a mature hockey romance that contain lots of heat, swoon, laughs, and a ride on an emotional roller coaster!

I loved this story from start to finish. Narrated well by both narrators. Easy listening feel good story.

Great story and well read.

Can I call this an enemies to lovers just because the MMC annoyed me personally so much in the beginning? He started off so awful, but wow, he wore me down quicker than the FMC, and he became the biggest simp/cinnamon-roll known to man. So cute! 😍
I will say though, this book is very long considering there's no big plot outside of their growing relationship, but I definitely still want to read the others in the series.
Narration wise, their own character narration was perfect, I'm just being nit picky about the male narrator's female voices. Otherwise, it was great.

cute hockey romance

It was very cringey at times and the story just dragged on. I wish there were more funny moments, it was just quite dull after the beginning. It did start off well but then the story just got dull.

It was quite boring and anticlimactic

It is one thing rereading your favourite book series, it is another to hear it being read out loud by professionals. I honestly love this so much and being able to put a voice to a character is game changing!

Carter and Olivia's story is amazing. It is so sweet and hilarious! Becka mack is an amazing author!

This was a reread for me.

While I enjoyed how Becca explored the trust building and laying the foundation of a strong relationship between Carter and Olivia. I did get slightly bored after they got together.

I was listening to this at 2x speed and still had 5 hours of listening after they got together.

I did enjoy this overall series but I think this was a slow start in a great series.

Brilliant

it's a nice story. I did find towards the end it became repeative and too mushy for my liking. But I did finish the story as the characters were great, even if at times I wished they would hurry up and spit things out. that became a bit irritating, but I understood it's part of the story. I'm just Autistic and getting to the point is my middle name lol

if you are up for a love story with some twists and heartfelt moments. This is the book for you.

Nice story

Great book, storyline and amazing characters but could have taken out about 40% of chapters and still been an amazing book. Way way way too long.

Super but too long
