Summary
They were coming to tell ghost stories - ' tales to freeze the blood' was the only rule. Switzerland, 1816, on a stormy summer night. Lord Byron and his guests are gathered round the fire.

Promising start
an excellent start, really engaging and right up my street, but then I found the rest did not live up to my expectation of a Gothic tale. still, enjoyable. I don't understand why the young character could have been taken and not say she already has a family.

Another great story by Emma Carroll
This is the perfect story for those wanting to read an age appropriate scary story with children-recommend for UKS2, Y7 and maybe Y8 depending on the reader.
