About this listen
USA Today best-selling author Claudia Burgoa finishes an emotional rock-star romance duet where second chances between soul mates could make the difference between love and loss.
Karma is a...she’s not nice.
It’s been 10 long years since Jacob and I parted ways.
I moved on.... Well, at least I thought I did.
That was until I’m asked to clean the image of Jacob Decker.
Rock star, playboy, womanizer JC Decker.
He’s spoiled, rude, and inappropriate.
I shouldn’t take the job, but I need the money.
I swallow my pride and work for him.
Closely.
Too close.
That’s when I uncover the wounds he hides.
The scars underneath his dismissive attitude.
And his shattered heart.
Can I just walk away when I’m about to find the man I once loved?
Strangers in Love is the conclusion of the highly angsty Somehow Everlasting novel duet.

Emotional and romantic!
Pria and Jacob seemed like they were the perfect couple, but at the end of Almost Strangers, I knew things were getting rocky. Now we get the final installment to see how their future turns out. Now that Pria has returned home to help take care of her sister, Maeve, Jacob has entered a path that can only lead to bad things. Years go by, life happens, but these two never really move on from the love they had and now thrown together by none other than Ainsley, Jacob's triplet, the two will have to work together to clean up Jacob's reputation. Can they work side by side without their feelings getting in the way? A lot has happened, but the chemistry is real. Is that enough to bring them back together? There is a lot of baggage to sort through with this story, from family drama to other relationships and let me tell you, it's very messy. Claudia Burgoa certainly knows how to tug at my heart, bring the tears to my eyes and then fill me with love. This is a tough duet, my favorite kind packed with a story that has true feelings, relevant issues and fantastic characters. I fell in love and binged this set. It's a wonderful listen.
And enhancing the story is Joe Arden and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker. These two know how to develop their characters. Arden has a happy Jacob, then pulls him into the darkness. His emotions are right there for the taking and had me frustrated and in love all at the same time. Pria is a tough woman, a people pleaser and finally gains the confidence she needs to be her own person. Nemeth-Parker finds each part of her, and creates that part of her personality perfectly. Then melds it all together! These two are fantastic together and made this duet magic.

Angsty end to the duet
This is book two in The Somehow Everlasting Duet you do need to read Book 1 before starting this story
This story is very angst filled , plenty of drama and i wanted to scream at time for them to just talk to each other.
Whilst it is clear throughout the Story that Jacob is still madly in love with Pria his pride and guilt lead him to continue to push her away. Pria coming back in his life sparks something in Jacob he has been a shell of a man and with Pria trying to revive his reputation can he comes the man she knows he is. The drama through this with jacob trying to keep a promise to a dying women without really understanding it or being able to live up to. Pria dealing with her own family drama whilst trying to do her job ensures that this story is filled with so much drama you wonder what could happen next
This was a great conclusion to the duet. SPOILER ........... Yes they do get their HEA, i am a ready who needs to know that going into a book so feel it should be shared for others.

Amazing conclusion to the duet!
Strangers in Love is the conclusion of the Somehow Everlasting Duet and Pria and Jacob’s love story. I absolutely loved this second chance love story. It’s been ten years since Pria and Jacob drifted apart and they’re different than they were before. They meet, the attraction is still intense, and their connection reawakens.
This story was a rollercoaster of emotions and I could not put it down. Burgoa broke my heart and then put it back together. I loved seeing Pria and Jacob heal from the hurt of their pasts and come together as one. I loved this duet so much and I highly recommend it!
It was so hard to pause this duet! Joe Arden and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker truly made this duet an amazing listen.

Jacob & Pria
Jacob and Pria could have been ordinary people, going through the same ordinary thing we, ordinary people, go through. Pria’s struggles at home were so normal that millions of us listening/reading this book can identify with her. I know Jacob was rich but his life was so sheltered that it’s impossible to not understand his attitude towards everything that happened. Any one that goes through what he’s been through will crumble at some point. Loved their story so much but I loved even more the narration from Joe Arden and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker. They gave their all and I could feel it through my earbuds.

Dual narration ♥️
With everything that happened in the first book, I wouldn’t exactly say I was excited to dive into this next one, however, that cliffhanger slightly revived a piece of my interest in what was to come.
In those places where the story fell short for me, the narration was so good that it eased over cracks. I may have felt disconnected from the action, but the emotion of the characters in terms of performance kept me wanting to see this one through.
Their HEA while it didn’t disappoint, wasn’t one I was invested in. I still feel torn, because of all the heartache between them, by the end I felt like my heart had been through the battlefield, but if one thing does ring true - it’s the way they never really ever let the other go.

Amazing Listen & Ending to a Brilliant Duet!
Claudia Burgoa pens a fabulous conclusion to Jacob and Pria’s story, the “Somehow Everlasting” duet. I devoured these two books, the characters are amazing, and it was easy to root for them from the very beginning. If you have not read or listened to the first book, “Almost Strangers”, stop here because you do not want to spoil anything, in that book we saw Jacob & Pria’s relationship and love blossom, only to end abruptly, which put Jacob on the road to self destruction. Pria, being Pria did what her family expected her to do, help take care of her sister, Maeve, and she tried moving on but she never really got over Jacob and losing their dream of having it all, the house, children and the dog. She made part of that dream happen and it broke her heart to give it up, but doing so brought a new friend in her life, well two friends, Ainsley and Mason Bradley. When Ainsley recommends they hire Pria, who now goes by Anna, to help cleanup Jacob’s image, the family agrees, so when she goes to meet her brother she is shocked to find out who he was. Jacob did not welcome her with open arms and she does not see the same person she fell in love with those years ago, she sees a hardened shell of a man instead. He pushes her away but has second thoughts about it after hearing her situation. Watching these two get to know each other again and what their lives were like was gut-wrenching at times, Burgoa really put them through the wringer, Jacob was no longer that happy-go-lucky boy but his family knew if anyone could bring him back it would be Pria. Pria’s life was not easy, but she always put one foot in front of the other to get past the hard times. I loved how everything played out in this beautifully written and plotted story, there is plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions and a romance that was written in the stars.
🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Joe Arden and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker exceptional narration continues as they bring these characters and their story to life. Their character voices have been constant throughout the duet and the quality of the audio is top-notch. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance, having you feel every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances an already amazing story to another level. Thank you for the exceptional listen!

Angsty. Happy ending
This is part two of the Somehow Everlasting duet. Part one ended on a cliffhanger and must be read first. If you haven’t read or listened to it yet, go do that before reading this review. Each book is a little over 5 hours long; a pretty quick listen.
In this book, Pria and Jacob have reconnected after 10 years in unfavourable circumstances. Pria is now a PR consultant who goes by “Anna” and Jacob is your stereotypical ‘off the rails’ musician. To clean up his reputation, his sister, Ainsley, has hired Anna to clean up his image. Being throw together again by work allows them to reconnect and heal the wounds of the previous 10 years.
I liked this book a lot more than the first one. There wasn’t that time jumping that they had going on in the last one so I was able to connect more deeply with the characters. This book has so much angst cos Pria and Jacob are so stubborn and strong-willed. If you don’t like the miscommunication trope, this book is probably not for you. I love how strongly Jacob’s other siblings feature in this story. They’re the perfect family in that even though they are not perfect, they love each other unconditionally and know how to balance tenderness and tough love. It has me wanting to read their books, especially Matthew’s. Even though it’s a rockstar romance, the characters have problems that everyday people can relate to. Pria’s complicated family situation gets even more so and leads to some major character growth over the two books. I’m giving this 4 stars and not 5 because I wish it was longer. The ending felt rushed. There was a surprise at the end that I predicted, but it was still nice to see.
I loved the narration of this book. It was done in dual style, and both narrators did a really good job playing the voices of characters of the opposite sex. Joe Arden is one of my favourite narrators. Stephanie Nemeth-Parker is new to me, but I really enjoyed her narration and will be looking to listen to more of her audiobooks. Joe and Stephanie did a great job bringing out the emotions of the characters and keeping us emotionally invested.
