Although as an english born gal I couldn't stop laughing at the attempt at a Welsh accent. To say its was wrong would be an understatement. But hey loved it all the same

I honestly don't know about other people but I really enjoy these books.
The story, the detail, the way the author describes everything is simply amazing and with this narrator it is even better, it brings out a vivid picture and I love it.

Regarding JPC and his Non-American accents it's fair to say they've been thoroughly reviewed and found lacking. BUT his narration and the story's pace and energy mean I can laugh them off and just accept them. I'll go so far as to say, I've actively sought other books narrated by JPC and found them equally enthralling.

I love this series and find myself coming back to it again and again but this book has a scene which I just can't reconcile. D is defending S and C jumps in uber-aggresively and D is in the wrong? To my mind (and I've tried to understand it from the story's perspective) C is who should be apologizing and examining his own behaviour not D.

Otherwise this is an excellent addition to the series and it continues to get better.

As a series, it's starting to lose its way after 19 books or so, but given I've come back to this 6 or 7 times now, I'm sticking with him and hoping we get back on track.

It doesn't get old, it didn't disappoint in any way. I get uber excited when ever I see a John Conroe book pop up. So worth every penny!

The narrator really needs to hear some non-american accents.

His Irish is an American caricature of an accent - I keep expecting Leprechauns and pots of gold, begorrah!

His Welsh and English accents are a bigger joke.

His Australian accent sounts like a South African with A speech impediment.

Quite frankly, it distracts from the story.
