Summary
From the New York Times #1 bestselling author Ilona Andrews comes a fun and action-packed new adventure in the Innkeeper Chronicles! We invite you to relax, enjoy yourself, and above all, remember the one rule all visitors must obey: the humans must never know.
Life is busier than ever for Innkeeper Dina DeMille and Sean Evans. But it’s about to get even more chaotic when Sean's werewolf mentor is kidnapped. To find him, they must host an intergalactic spouse-search for one of the most powerful rulers in the Galaxy. Dina is never one to back down from a challenge. That is, if she can manage her temperamental Red Cleaver chef; the consequences of her favorite Galactic ex-tyrant's dark history; the tangled politics of an interstellar nation; and oh, yes, keep the wedding candidates from a dozen alien species from killing each other. Not to mention the Costco lady.
They say love is a battlefield; but Dina and Sean are determined to limit the casualties!

Sweep of the Heart
Seemed a long time coming but worth the wait, has the great adventure, had the contest, has love and fighting, even had an assassin or two. Fast moving with loads to keep you interested. So much so that I had to keep stopping what I was doing and replaying. Well defiantly be listening to this story many times. Although I miss the narration of Renee Raudman, Nora Sofyan certainly read the book with as much character and lively momentum, really enjoyed to listen to.

SUCH A Good Book!
I first read this series when it initially came out several years ago and haven't re-read it in what feels like forever. I remembered I loved it, but not why. Then this book came out and I thought I'd re-read the series. I remembered why I loved it so much. This book is the perfect continuation of the series. The characters have developed beautifully with Sean becoming part of Dina's life to the extent he is now an Inn Keeper with her. The Inn listens to him and moves according to his wishes, which is useful considering the task that they have to undertake in this book.
Wilmos has been kidnapped and in order to gain access to him the Inn has to host an enormous event with hundreds of guests. Alone, Dina would struggle. They also get the help of Tony, her brother's best friend, and an Ad-Hal, who are independent magic wielders of the Inn Keeper lines, who serve the Inn Keeper's Assembly. Together they have to manage political intrigue, personality clashes, assassination attempts, and romance.
The plot is complex, the personalities vibrant and the world-building is captivating. This book has all the ingredients to keep you enthralled for the duration. On top of that, the narrator is excellent. She conveys the individuality of the dozens of unique characters in this book, which is a pretty enormous task, and at the same time retains her own voice as the narrator of the story. I've not come across her before, but will happily listen to her work again.
I loved every minute of this book and the enormous great hook on the last page really wants me to demand the next book in the series immediately, despite my annoyance at readers who do so. I really hope it comes along soon!

New audio format
Loved the book. Wasn't happy to begin with the new narrator, quickly got used to it and the new format. Hope the future books are the same.

Exciting twists
I love all of their books , but this series is just epic . The characters Dina , Sean Arland and little Helen not forgetting her mum Maud. There is nothing not to like , the cleverly written words, the intoxicating story . The acting that brings each character to life . More please

A wonderful addition to a fabulous series...
Discovering this addition to one of my all-time favourite series has been one of the highlights of the year so far! I LOVE this wacky sci-fi/fantasy mash-up that shouldn't work, but absolutely does because of the attention to detail and sheer inventiveness of the authors. And this time around, the plucky innkeepers have their hands full - a shocking kidnapping and hosting the most demanding occasion of the century.
The authors didn't do it by halves - providing twelve candidates for the ruler of the Dominion to decide who he'll marry. At first, I wasn't sure if they could pull it off - it meant I had to pay real attention to who was doing what to whom. But given it was an elimination contest, it got easier and I love the real diversity of aliens and their differing cultures. It helped that the narration was first class by Nora Sofyan. I got so caught up in the contest, I was a bit worried that the final act would be something of an anti-climax - but that proved to be a needless concern. It was a suitably emotional denouement and brought the story to an entirely satisfactory conclusion. And the best news of all - it didn't land the series, because there are still unanswered questions, so there will be another book. Yippee!

Excellent book. Phenomenal series
I absolutely loved this book. The narration is good. The story is wonderful. It helps answer so many questions from the previous book. All in all it’s a wonderful book.

Another fantastic outing for Gertrude Hunt!
Just when I think Ilona Andrews can't top their previous work, they go and do this. Heights of hilarity, depths of despair, joy, love...and a dancing fish.
I unashamedly wept several times.
Plus; Caldenia's backstory is revealed!
And a bonus recipe!. What's not to love?
I was expecting to take time to warm up to the change in narrator, but Nora Sofyan hit the ground running and swept (pardon the pun) me right along with her. Excellently done.

To Long
I have enjoyed all of Ilone Andews work, always buying the next book as soon as they are available. So when this book was out I bought straight away.
I was so disappointed with long winded boring monologues of the characters
It's the 1st of her books i could not finish.
very disappointed.

The story great as always, narration not so much
This installment was good but not fantastic as the previous ones. The ending salvaged the story a bit. Unfortunate narration. What happened to the original narrator?

I can't believe it 😢
Ilona Andrews are my go-to author. I've read almost all their books and re-read or re-listen Kate Daniels series and Hidden Legacies series, probably 6-7 times, and now THIS BOOK. I DNF! It was so boring, the narrator saunded as if she would fall asleep 😴 any minute. So I gave up. By the half of the book, I just didn't care what was going to happen.
