I got this for my teen daughter and had a listen myself and I think this book would make a really useful present to anyone's teen son or daughter. I think chapter three on goal setting is what I think would provide real value. The chapter gives easy tips and tricks on how to go about this and also gives a good mention to rewarding yourself when you do actually achieve something so I thought this was a nice touch and is actually pretty important.. I guess also pretty important is chapter five of health and nutrition. This goes into how to take care of your body by sitting correctly and eating well. It really hits home how important your health is to combating the everyday challenges your teen will receive, Well narrated.

In simple language. the author begins the book by making a case for life skills - why do you need them? I feel like maybe if it had been told to me like that many years back, I wouldn't have wasted so much time before the actual learning. :-) We don't know though, What we do know though, is that this book pretty much covers everything from self-awareness and confidence building to health and money management. We also know that this book is one every teen needs.

I think covid has been tough on today’s generation of teens and young adults who were locked away from the world probably at the most important time of their lives for development and self confidence.
This book gives them all they need to make their way in the world from money management and looking after health to more about goal setting and achieving success. A great handbook for all teens

Roh knocks it out of the park with Teen Meets World. This book is a very practical hands-on guide to helping our teenagers get to the next level of independence. The author brings her real-world experience with her children into the book and relating to the listener in teaching these important skills. She covers a wide variety of topics such as time management, hygiene, being healthy, money, management, etc. I really like the section that deals with becoming more independent and taking responsibility for your life. I feel like that is something that, as a society, we do not do a good job with. I always try to emphasize this with my kids, so I really like the way that this book challenges that aspect of your life. I highly recommend this book.

LH and KM Roh have written a great book! Alaura Howery does a masterful job narrating the book. We listened to it with our 3 teenagers and thoroughly enjoyed the entire thing. The narration was particularly good because my boys were taking notes and it required very little pausing and/or rewinding due to how clear and concise it is.

As you know moving through your teenage years and into adulthood can be pretty rough at times. As parents of 3 teenage boys my husband and i are trying to arm them with as much information to navigate that journey as possible. This book provides a ton of information to help them gain life skills which will give them the independence they all want and deserve.

Our favorite part of the book was the money management and tips portion. Too many people forget to teach their kids about how to handle money, save and grow their income. This book helps tremendously to show our teenagers that the $ from their first job shouldn't just be blown on new sneakers or a movie. Each spending decision matters.

Life is crazy busy these days, and unfortunately, as parents, I feel we are failing our kids by being so distracted every day. When I compare the responsibilities I had compared to the responsibilities my teen has. My child does have ADHD, and I feel that has held her back so this is a book I needed to keep her on track with preparing her for the adult world. Chapter 5 is where I spent a lot of time as my teen and pre-teen do not have the best eating healthy, exercise, or personal hygiene routine. I never realized how much hygiene and showing healthy eating habits could influence them as adults. This leads directly into Chapter 6 to teach your children how to cook. Combining the skill of teaching your child to cook and teaching them to eat healthily is something that we are now working on in my home. My daughter is excited to be able to cook, so if we are cooking dinner, we are working on how to make dinner a healthier choice.

This book is a must-have for all parents who live in a busy and distracted world and need help to make sure their teen is prepared for the adult world when its time.
