For All Empty Nesters...
"How to Survive the Empty Nest Phase" by Pamela Fariole is an absolute must-read for any parent who has recently found themselves in the "empty nest" phase of life. The book offers practical tips and strategies for not only coping with the absence of children in the household, but also for reconnecting with yourself, your adult children, and your spouse. The audiobook is narrated by Janice McNally, who does an excellent job of bringing the author's words to life.
One thing I particularly appreciated about this audiobook was the author's emphasis on reigniting your inner purpose. It can be all too easy to lose sight of your own goals and aspirations when you've spent years putting your children first. Fariole's advice on how to reconnect with yourself and find new meaning and purpose in your life is both inspiring and actionable.
Another standout feature of "How to Survive the Empty Nest Phase" is its focus on maintaining and strengthening relationships with adult children and spouses. Fariole provides concrete advice on how to stay connected with your grown children as they navigate their own lives, and how to deepen your relationship with your spouse now that you have more time to focus on each other. Overall, this audiobook is an excellent resource for anyone going through the empty nest phase and looking for guidance on how to make the most of this new chapter in their life.

Great tips!
Every parent must accept the reality that their kid/s will eventually become independent, and leave home. It can be hard to accept it but with this book, it will definitely help decrease those feelings of loneliness or depression. I love the part where the author provide steps on how to reignite your relationship with your spouse since you probably didn't have a lot of quality time together during those child-rearing years. So it would be a great time to engage and enjoy activities together once the children leave your home. I would definitely recommend this book to all parents out there.

Learning to find your new way
What a wonderful book for learning how to start reconstructing your life after your kids leave home. I have a 17-year-old and I cannot even imagine what it would be like not to have her in my home. Having this book helped me realize that there are benefits for both parent and child of when the child leaves home. Learning to be proud of the child you have raised, ready and willing to move out of the home. For so many years, you devote your entire life to your children and then the home is empty one day. The author did a great job of laying out the book in a way to help guide you in to what next steps lie ahead. First, with addressing the feelings of being an empty nester, then moving forward with what to do next. Chapter 6, letting go so they grow, was impactful for me. Everything we strive for as a parent can be summed up in this chapter. I cannot say enough good things about this book. Great for preparing yourself for the empty nest or addressing that you are currently are an empty nester. THis author truly understands the concerns and anxieties of being an empty nester.

Just what I needed to hear
The author has clearly experienced empty nest syndrome. I got this book even though I’ve had an “empty nest” for years now. Now that it’s just me, it seems that I’m more aware of how alone and empty my nest seems. The author does a great job with suggesting practical ideas on a second career and many other things to stay busy and “find yourself” again. This book is for anyone who’s had a change in their life recently and it’s clear the author understands what you’re going through. I highly recommend it!

Practical advice on how to cope
I was very intrigued to listen to this audiobook to understand just what my mom and dad went through recently when my younger brother graduated from college and was deployed to Colorado.
I spoke with my mom about what Pamela Fariole talks about in the book about her experience going through this phase, and whether my mom had similar feelings of sadness and how she felt unsure about her purpose now that us kids were out of the house. My mom even used many of the tips herself, like daily exercise and speaking more with my Gramma, to help her get through this phase. It was great to hear that the advice was practical and effective.
The narrator of the audiobook was also fantastic. They did an incredible job of bringing the book to life and keeping me engaged from start to finish. I really appreciated their clear and expressive delivery.
Overall, I would highly recommend this audiobook to anyone who is going through the empty nest phase or knows someone who is. It's a must-listen for anyone looking for practical advice on how to cope with this difficult time.

Listen to this book before your kids leave nest
I wish I had this book a few years ago. I remember how I was getting anxious about my son growing up and leaving home. I thought I was mentally prepared, but I wasn't. Even now, a few years later, I have occasional anxiety about it and a feeling of being lost. This book helped me tremendously to re-evaluate my situation and an empty-nester status and start living my life again as an independent person with a bright future ahead of me, making plans, and being grateful for and proud of my parenthood. Moving to the next stage in life is suddenly an exciting process!

Great book
The author has written this book with a great deal of empathy and understanding for parents who are now empty nesters. She explains the dangers of empty test syndrome, some of which I had not Even thought about before. It has really helped me to see that the empty nest period can be a positive time of life - how I can start to have my own independence again, get my finances back on track and enjoy the things I used to.
I like how the book not only focuses on the practical things you need to consider but also the emotional side. It has given me hope and excitement for the future that I didn’t have before
