For Those Seeking Peace
The author weaves his life experiences into this encouraging book, making it very relatable. The narrator is also great and has a very comforting voice...almost like a shepherd or trusted teacher. The book is very well written and is a solution for those seeking more peace in their lives. My favorite chapter was the Gratitude chapter, as I think it's so easy for me to forget to be grateful...yet there are so many benefits!

Peace is a choice
This book may be hard to swallow if you are stuck in a mire of despair, but its wisdom is ageless - peace is a choice and so is joy and sadness, and fear and rage. If you give it a chance, you learn how to stop wallowing in misery, and actually choose peace. You learn how to stop victimizing yourself, and nothing is more empowering than that.

Inspiring
I recently listened to a seminar on happiness and this book reminded me so much of this. It teaches the importance of learning to be happy right now. So often we are striving for that ‘thing’ that will make us happy but to be truly happy we need to live in the moment, be grateful for what we have right now. This is the only way to find inner peace.
Truly inspiring!

Real talk
Having been stressed at work lately I've been looking at audibles to help become more present in my life and mind. This audible was great at teaching me about the power of being present and the main chapters I loved were on gratitude and stress and disease. Everything negative on my life is directly related to stress and listening to this audible gives me a power over that stress by acting in the present. Highly recommended.

Embracing the Magic Within
"Finding Your Peace: The Magic of Living Here and Now" by Brian Heston is more than just an audiobook; it is a transformational guide to inner peace and fulfillment. It beautifully encapsulates decades of wisdom, experiences, and insights garnered from the author's personal journey towards a magical and peaceful life.
From the very beginning, Heston's profound wisdom, personal anecdotes, and practical advice drew me in. His approach is deeply authentic, gently guiding listeners towards a more mindful existence without ever sounding preachy or overbearing. His well-crafted prose, combined with Michael Later's captivating narration, creates a truly immersive experience that feels akin to a comforting fireside chat.
The wisdom Heston imparts is not confined to one school of thought or religion, but instead, draws on various cultures around the world. This universal applicability only strengthens the book's message. Each chapter is beautifully intertwined with stories from Heston's own life experiences, further grounding the principles he explores.
A few aspects of the book particularly resonated with me. Firstly, Heston's exploration of gratitude and its role in finding inner peace is compelling and practical. The exercises he suggests, like gratitude journaling, were instantly applicable and transformative in my own life.
Moreover, the connection between our physical, emotional, and spiritual health was illuminating. Heston's ability to weave these elements together is impressive, encouraging listeners to take a holistic approach to their wellbeing. The emphasis he places on living in the present moment is a much-needed antidote to today's fast-paced world, serving as a constant reminder to appreciate life's beauty and treasure the little things we encounter each day.
The accompanying resource page provides additional tools and aids for listeners looking to deepen their understanding and practice. It's a thoughtful addition that ensures the book's teachings can be practically applied in everyday life.
Perhaps the most compelling aspect of this book is the metaphor Heston presents for life: a blank page on which we write our stories every day. This perspective encourages listeners to cherish each day and to live in a way that resonates with their authentic selves.
For those seeking to tap into their inherent inner peace and live a more balanced life, this book offers valuable insights and practical guidance. It serves as a light in the chaos of our modern lives, pointing the way towards a fulfilling existence. It is the type of book you can return to again and again, gleaning new insights and layers of understanding with each listen.
"Finding Your Peace" has been a guiding light for me in my journey towards self-discovery and inner peace. It has reinforced my existing practices, provided new avenues for exploration, and encouraged me to live more mindfully. This book is not just an audiobook, but a companion on the journey to a more magical life.
"Finding Your Peace: The Magic of Living Here and Now Five Decades Exploring Inner Space" by Brian Heston is an exceptional resource for anyone interested in personal growth, mindfulness, and the pursuit of inner peace. It offers practical wisdom, personal insights, and encouraging guidance. Whether you're new to the journey or have been walking the path for years, this book is a must-listen.
