I picked this book up hoping to find ways to complement my gardening so that some of the food I get out of it does not have to go bad. I am very pleased that the book has delivered. First off- INCREDIBLE. I started my own gardens last year and have an overflow of veg which I had no way to preserve and ended up giving it away. Not that there is anything wrong with giving away food but there is something special about being able to preserve and in this case, FREEZE DRY your own harvest. Super excited for our next pick of the garden! WOOP.

After listening to this audiobook my eyes were opened to a more structured way to do this. I would freeze things just because I didn't want them to go bad, but now I can freeze them with care, caution and proper methods. I never knew i needed this book. The author thought of everything and helped you understand the dos and the don't and the cautions. I especially love that the author included recipes using the freeze dried food. This audiobook with accompanying PDF is well structured and thought through for anyone to follow. I think it lives up to the name of being the only beginner freeze drying guide you'll ever need.

As a farmer who also has a garden at my house, I highly value the ability to store extra food that cannot always be eaten when it is ready to harvest. I love preserving food, and freeze drying takes it to the next level because it lasts much longer (good for your emergency supply) and can go wherever you go (camping, road trips, traveling, etc).
