not having read the ember war series I was a bit of a loss to start with and nearly returned the book but after sticking with it, it soon picks up. I'm going to go back and read the previous books and would recommend anyone else do the same

I came across this author by accident. Good story, good humour, good sf nicely read with good inflection. Not all of his stuff is as good as this, but many worth a listen

Dosen chases and different species of aliens like in Star Wars. Group of colonists land on one planet without knowing they entered in restricted zone of alien species who lives in that galaxy. Later come other group of humans to discover 1st group is no longer there .... Love the plot .
