This is a good military science fiction story with all the ingredients you'd expect. It rattles along at a good pace and while there are few real surprises that really doesn't detract from the enjoyment of the story itself.

Love this book, no idea if the ship commands are accurate but love the details of the commands given to the stations. Story premise is good and for now intereseted in how it develops.

It's like naval warfare in space. Set condition 1 SS!

The book is easy to listen to and yet still highly engaging. The mechanics of space combat in these books are brilliant and feel more realistic than many other books. The narrator brings the characters to life and makes the story that much more engaging. Love the series!

One of my favourite scifi books

Well narrated. Great story and got a really good feel for the characters. Looking forward to the next installment. I'm 'into' sci-fi film/tv and wasn't sure how it would translate to an audio book. I was hooked throughout and had to stop a number of times to take a break from the tense build up.

This was an interesting first book. I like led the plot and the speed of events. However the author kills the suspense too soon, the characters are a bit flat and some of the methods of twisting the plot are rather clumsy and not as clever as they should be. I won't be listening to the rest of the series I'm afraid.

narration was great, I got a feel for the characters very quickly, I how they don't change the narrator in the sequel. very gripping story, listened to this one on almost one sitting.
