About this listen

When businessman Thomas Peterson is killed outside a football ground in the Highlands, there are several witnesses. Yet the hunt for the killer is proving as futile as the search for a motive.

Possible connections to Russian money and an eerie retirement home are soon thrown into the mix. To further complicate things, DI Westphall's MI6 past is coming back to haunt him. Guilt stalks his dreams, but could there be a message in these nightmares?

Westphall is in danger of losing his head just when he needs it the most. He must find answers, and fast, before the murderer strikes again.

Excellent listen

I was surprised - I rarely like books written mainly in the resent tense, but this worked very well. An imaginative take, and with an interesting twist - I won't spoil it. I would thoroughly reccomend this (although I generally have a better opinion of the weather in Dingwall.)

Excellent!

Excellent read. Brilliant narrative by King! I look for books that he narrates rather than authors to make my choices. Loved the characters. Twists and turns galore! Concentration is a must! Another series I am hooked on!

doom and gloom

This one was hard going, my mind wondered so much, si much more could be made of the psychic side of the story.

Good book.

I enjoyed this book. It was fairly fast moving, very well written and I could listen to Angus King all day long.

Yawn!!

Most tedious book I’ve listened to. Gave up after 2 hours. Angus King is one of my favourite narrators and he did his best with a poor story. Hope I can return it!

Well narrated

But even the wonderful Mr King couldn’t get this tale above a dirge.
Far, far too much introspective musing and the misery of depression.

Dear oh dear

Most unexciting book I have read for a long time I thought if I heard the phrase " I said" one more time I would scream, in fact at first it took me a time to tell what exactly he did keep saying, all in all very strange
