Audiobook Review : Narrated By Jack Calihan and Isabelle Turner.
These 2 had injected the right accent for both of the characters. Jack had gravelly voice, perfect for the broody character.
Walker is a part time professor and one of his student is Emmaline. They have known each other for 5 months but Walker has struggled to wait until she has graduated. Where he also finds out she has been feeling the same since January. What I loved about Walker is, that he couldn't release his urges elsewhere because he was pining over Emmaline. That made me happy haha.
Both characters were fun and likable. So they have decided to have a one night of fun. Unfortunately that doesn't exactly go to plan. But they were hopeful they have few more days left before Emma leaves for her internship. Only life throws another wrench and now see is off limits all over again. Can these two have each other and their dreams? But Walker doesn't do relationship and Emma is meant to leave.
I love small town, cowboy romances. They give you warm fuzzy feelings and this story certainly did that. There was also some spice to heat things up.
I liked getting to know other characters as you can see, they all will be getting a story soon and I'm excited.

I loved loved the dual narration of Jack Calihan and Isabelle Turner, both bring out the heat and sass.

Dr. Walker Rhodes, is a parttime professor, full time vet, he has two rules no dating students and do not commit to anyone. All good until Emmaline Phillips becomes his student, he finds himself counting down the days she graduates and leaves. Because keeping the rule about not dating is getting hard.
Emmaline finds herself as interested in Walker. As she leaves college she leaves Walker her phone number . Hot , fun and spice happens when they get together.
When her dream job was in Kentucky at an elite horse racing farm, does not work out, she finds herself applying to Walker's farm.

Walker is a professor and vet and Emma is a student about to graduate with her life ahead of her or so she thinks. She has her heart set on becoming a vet in Kentucky working on a horse farm when she is rejected she needs a backup plan to get the hours she needs to become certified. Her attraction to her former professor and current boss is a problem because they want each other both knowing that what they have is not built to last or is it? Great short novella with very likable characters who deserve a HEA.

This is an enjoyable and steamy novel written by Deborah Garland, the first in her “Wild Texas Hearts” series. She is a “new to me”, I enjoyed her writing style, the characters and storylines she created are interesting, easy to relate to and connect with and once I started the book, I did not want to put it down, the story captivated me the entire time. Her world building and character development was fantastic, too. Walker Rhodes is a veterinarian and while his practice keeps him busy, he is also a professor teaching a course in veterinary medicine. He has been having some improper thoughts about one of his students, intimate thoughts of what he wants to do with her. Teacher and student relationships were frowned upon, but once she graduates, he plans to have her. He does not do relationships, he just needs to get her out of his system. Emmaline “Emma” Phillips was looking forward to graduating and starting an internship and veterinary career is in horse country, Kentucky. Before she left, she had a steamy tryst with her former professor, which worked out great since neither was looking for a relationship. But when her plans fall through, she winds up staying in Texas, and gets an internship with Dr. Walker Rhodes, her former professor and fling. Will they be able to keep their relationship professional? The author packed a whole lot of story into her novella sized book, it is a wonderfully plotted story with plenty of drama, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Deborah Garland, thank you for this great story, I am looking forward to hear what comes next in this series and checking out more of your books.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Jack Calihan and Isabelle Turner were the perfect cast to bring these characters and story to life. Their portrayal of each character was spot on, Calihan’s Walker was the perfect swoon worthy alpha cowboy Walker and Turner nailed it as Emma, grasping every side of her personality. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the great listen.

The Cowboy's Forbidden Crush was a fun quick read with plenty of spice! This Age-Gap, Insta-lust, forbidden romance was the perfect cowboy listen. I adored the characters and can't wait to read/listen to the other stories in this series. Walker and Emmaline had great chemistry and I enjoyed how they both had wanted the other other and couldn't wait any longer.

Jack Calihan was perfect for Walker and really brought out his rugged charm. Isabelle Turner is a new to be narrator and she was great at bringing the sweetness out for Emma's character.

A little spicy, a lot forbidden, I get to listen to my first Deborah Garland book and she has a new fan! Professor and vet, Walker Rhodes is finishing up his semester. He has been attracted to Emma, a student, the entire class, and it's now almost over. Can he make a move now? Emma has big dreams. Ready to graduate, she is looking forward to going to the ranch of her dreams to take care of horses. Enjoying her handsome professor before she leaves should be fun. But dreams don't always come true, and Emma finds herself working as an intern at a local ranch, thinking of her tryst. When the foreman comes to greet her, what a surprise she sees! Now, the man she can't forget is once again her teacher/boss. What will happen with these two? Spicy passion and a sweet budding romance had me pulled in and waiting to see how this all turned out. Walker is quite the man. Though not wanting to risk his career, he is willing to go to bat for his woman. Emma is smart and her evaluation of life is spot on. I loved these two and enjoyed the story!

Jack Calihan is perfectly cast as Walker. Sensual, alpha sound comes in as the older man, ready to go! Isabelle Turner is new to me, and she fit right in as Emma. A new adult voice, she finds Emma's personality and lets her grow. These two made this listen one I couldn't put down.
