Awesome

Awesome sauce is an apt description of my experience with this story, if I had to liken it to a condiment

absolutely phenomenal

narration, whilst not a continuation of Frank muller's superb work, was nonetheless spectacular. this epic series continues to blow me away. I only wish I had read it at the age of 15 when I first had a copy of the gunslinger.

narrator

to start I have read all the dark tower. this is my first time listening to all the books. I'm not sure what happened but for at least half the book it was read badly and voices were irritating. towards the later half narration totally changed and I could concentrate on the story . that said this is not the best of the dark tower series and I know from reading the books Don't get much better. but I'm going to see this through to the end as I did when I originally read the novels. with the exception of wind through the keyhole which was in my opinion a waste of time I won't get back.

Guidall upped his game!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! This is right up there as one of my favourite series! Excellent characters, excellent story, I would expect nothing less from Stephen King.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Dark Tower V: Wolves of the Calla?

Eddie's final confrontation with a certain AI...

What about George Guidall’s performance did you like?

I was really disappointed to find out that George Guidall was back doing these audiobooks as Frank Muller was awesome! Also very sad to hear about what happened to Frank, RIP. But in all honesty, I feel that Guidall upped his game big time. Started off slow but really got into it.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The Wolves are Coming...

Any additional comments?

Just excited for the next one now!

The Dark Tower Grows Ever Closer

The Dark Tower Series gets more and more enthralling the deeper you go. I can hardly believe I've finished book V now already. Very sad to hear about Frank Muller's accident and passing, he truly did bring the characters to life in the previous narrations. George Guidall did a great job reading this one too and I'm impatient but I will have to take a break to read The Stand before I continue the series as I believe the references get more important now.

Enjoyable

It’s quite jarring to have a new narrator but that was obviously unavoidable. You do get used to the new voice. The story is great. It didn’t blow me away but I enjoyed it.
