About this listen
Golden Crown Literary Society 2022 Debut Novel Award Winner
Hitting rock bottom in the concrete jungle of Manhattan, investigative journalist Jamie Walker lands the assignment of a lifetime: find the most elusive artist of a generation, who has enthralled the art and fashion world for over a decade.
This assignment is supposed to finally be Jamie's ticket to journalistic fame and fortune. The quest, however, proves to be difficult, as—so far—nobody has managed to discover who the legendary DeVor really is.
As Jamie delves deeper into the mysteries surrounding the enigmatic artist, trying to salvage her stagnant career, she risks getting in over her head and losing her heart in the process.

This is my first time writing a review. This book made me feel so many different types of emotions. All I can say is everyone needs to listen and read this book. It’s amazing.

Brilliant.
Great writing great story, engaging MCs, well drawn secondary characters, baddies getting their comeuppance. Last but not least another fabulous narration by AC.
Two down, one to go, 3rd book downloaded, awaiting release of the audio.😍

Incredible.
Milena has a unique way of romance storytelling, her characters and writing are classical in that you are experiencing every ounce of their beings with a story that is deep and fulfilling, beautifully crafted, and oh so sexy on another level. Now add Abby Craden and the new husky tones she has put voice to, Vivian is alive in glorious HD. I first read this book as a fanfic and it stole my heart then, it’s now all grown up into such a wonderful first book and audiobook. Who should read or listen?..everyone.. do both!!

Great story about the Big Apple and the social arts scene that has been turned into a great love epic for two people and their love life

Not my usual book type but really enjoyed
I’d say my typical go to would be a sapphic romantic easy going book, and this book had elements of that, but was really well written and had you thinking and covered some pretty hard hitting subjects.
Characters were really well written (although they could have given them easy names to try remember 🤣)
I know nothing about art or fashion, but overall really enjoyed the book and the narration was excellent as always by Abby.
Would recommend and will look for more books by this author.

Amazing!
I had a feeling this would have been a good read and I wasn’t disappointed. This is the difference between a predictable lesbian romance and a well written one so few and far between these days. My first listen from this author but was swayed knowing Abby Craden was narrating it was fabulous I absolutely recommend 👌

Milena McKay is such a captivating writer!
This is a very (VERY) well-written book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐
The Delicate Things We Make is dedicated “to the survivors” ❤️🩹
This was handled and written with so much warmth and care. I learned a lot from this book. I will always be in awe at how Milena manages to write such powerful characters, every moment, emotion and thought leaves the listener wanting to know more. Abby Craden is perfect. McKay and Craden are a winning combo.

Brilliant book, terrible narration
This is a really good story, well written with interesting twists and turns and excellent characterisation. Huge problem however is that Abby Craden makes DeVor sound like an 80 year old letch. Such a shame. Don't listen to this one, read it if you can

5*
The storyline certainly stirred my interest and captured my thoughts. I started it this morning in the car and just finished it at home...
Yet again taken on a journey of exploration and purpose. I look forward to another from Milena...
Also, Abby has done something wonderful... her voice allowing me the experience of so many emotions exposed... she wows me every time...
