Would you listen to The Essence of Success again? Why?
Yes. This book has so much in the way of treasure. I keep going back over it.What was one of the most memorable moments of The Essence of Success?
Yes, all of it... I'm defiantly a fan.Which scene did you most enjoy?
There really is too many to list. Just start from the beginning. I think most people will find most of the content very useful.Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It felt as though I was listening to someone who embodied integrity and honour. Such correctness made me want to stand upright. There was also the relaxed soothing delivery in the authors voice.
An apt title

Bears repeat listening, if you can find a way of converting the audio files to remove Steve Kings' annoying preambles and interruptions.
What did you like best about this story?
Episodic format
What aspect of Earl Nightinale’s performance might you have changed?
Unfortunately, Steve King, the other narrator that introduces the passages gets in the way - the original version was just Earl. You keep thinking, "Yeah-yeah, Steve, enough already, STFU!".
Steve's introductions are utterly superfluous and pad out the audiobook with preambles of each part that Earl manages to speak himself anyway about the subject with considerable more brevity, avuncular warmth and authority. Steve seems cheesy by comparison.
Nightingale-Conant in the early days messed around far less with its archive material.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
no, it is 16 hours, probably an hour of that is padding of Steve King's cheesy 'gee whizz' comments.
Any additional comments?
The original audio has been slightly sped up and the background music is entirely unnecessary.
lacks chapter markings
Not as good as the tape cassette version
