Summary

So apparently my mom was a witch. And not just a witch, but a witch who turned bad. My poor, sweet, normal dad wanted me to have a good college experience. Instead I get a magical offer I literally can't refuse, from the world's most elite school for warlocks.

Warlocks. As in guy witches.

Even though I definitely have lady parts, somehow I ended up at a warlock school to learn the gentlemanly arts (which are a lot more badass than, ahem, lady magic). Did I mention the witch world is stuck in the 19th century? Unmarried witches and warlocks barely see each other outside of society balls, which are still a thing.

My existence here breaks all the rules. Am I here for the right reasons? Or am I the pawn meant to destroy the very world I'm starting to love? When my magic proves stronger than anyone expects, and the school is attacked by a demon, I'll need help from the four gorgeous magical men who are willing to break a few rules with me. They're each forbidden to me in their own way, and the greatest danger of all might not be demons, but falling for them. All of them.

Contains mature themes.

Fantastic!

I loved this book, I was hooked from the beginning and couldn't put it down, Charlotte finding out she was a witch and had to go to Wizard school was so funny, and her friends were really entertaining, I can't wait for the next book.

A great story with a good bit of humour.

A great audio book that had me laughing out loud. I am straight onto the second book. Certainly worth a credit

Excellent Narration

I enjoyed this story. it's easy to see how the tale will develop over the next few books, though I wouldn't call it predictable. There's room for a myriad of twists and turn. The end of this book was a bit rushed.
The narrators were both excellent. I barely noticed someone was reading to me, they completely matched the story and read the material beautifully.

Narrations

The Narrations drove me nuts! spoiled the story and grated on my ears, wining and juvenile.

Definitely for YA audience

The book is definitely geared towards the young adult audience. Couldn’t get beyond chapter 3.

dreadful voice

the storyline was pathetic and the constant references to the various men having sexual allure and beautiful bodies was trite and irritating. but the voice was the worst.

Yawn

A lightweight and predictable plot is totally ruined by being saturated with the juvenile and boring sexual lusting of all major players. Skipped to discover it’s just the first in a series that I won’t be following.
