this book emotionally killed me, i’m 14 years old and i think this book is suitable for ages 13+ i started listening to this book and in 2 chapters i was hooked so i borrowed the book from my school library and i finished it the same day it was the best book ive ever read and i could read it 100 times over

one of the best young adult fiction books I've ever read, funny, hard hitting and completely relevant, it tells the story of young adults living and dying in todays transient world. it's a love story worth reading, sad but ultimately lovely. John green at his very best.

This book is OK as an airport book but only if you're in to sob stories. Childhood cancer, and parents surviving their children are among the saddest and hardest things a human can endure. I do not call this book a sob story out of disrespect to any of these or people who experienced them. The book is a sob story because it is very calculated, predictable, methodical in setting up the story in a fashion that would please the most participants in a test screening if this was a Hollywood script. Unfortunately there is very little that is original about the book, (characters, foreshadowing, plot twists). Every conversation is witty, everyone in the book (from every kid, parent to the cabin crew) always has the best comeback line for any interaction. Combined with its almost cliche plotline, the over engineered conversations leave the book sterile and insincere. But.. what do I know ..

I started reading this and it drove me mad, so I gave the audiobook a shot. The performance is in overall good, but the storyline felt a bit simple. On the other side: my age group might not be the intended audience.
