Inconsistencies in narration
Where does The Fiery Heart rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I have read all of Richelle Meads books and the Vampire Academy and Bloodlines series are by far my favourite, that’s why I decided to listen to them all on Audible. Emily Shaffer has narrated the last 3 Vampire Academy books and all of the bloodlines books. Now she has done a good job mostly other than her terrible English accent for Adrian which I had actually got used to. This book she shares the narration with Alden Ford who voices Adrien, but he has an American accent. So Emily now voices Adrian with an American accent even though the last 6 books she has given him an English accent. Things like this really annoy me with audiobooks and ruins my listening experience. Surely the production team could have got an English guy to narrate Adrian’s parts so that it fits in with all the other books or got Alden to do an English accent (his can’t be worse than Emily’s).
Who was your favorite character and why?
Favorite character is Adrien because he is so flawed yet lovable
What aspect of Emily Shaffer and Alden Ford ’s performance might you have changed?
The inconsistencies listed above. The pronounciation of Stelle, it is not pronounced 'stell' in Italian it is actually pronounced 'Stell-e' pronouncing the 'E' at the end. Again things like this really ditract from the story and its something that should have been researched before doing the narration.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Not really even though the book is one of my favorites. The narration is a bit boring and inconsistent.

I love the Bloodline series and Adrian is practicly my favourite character since VA. And I have to say that I absolutely loved Alden Ford as the narrator from Adrian's point of view. It suited him so well and Alden portraited Adrian's character perfectly.

Male narrator is to soft spoken.
I work in a very load enviroment and even with my noise cancelling switch on, on my headphones and at full volume, It’s still hard to hear him as he speaks so softly.
Never had any problems with other narrators.

Least favourite so far
Normally I have raced through the other books in this series but I have really struggled to get into this book. Listening to the audio has been difficult as characters seemed to have different accents when reading their parts, also reading from aidens point of view was definitely where the story got lost and I found it very difficult to listen at these parts.
