February 1944. Six months since Nazi forces occupied Rome.

Joseph O'Connor lures readers into a little known, but important, facet of World War II history and keeps them hooked until the very last page. Fantastic story and narration.
Loved everything about this and the previous book. The descriptive language the author uses transport’s the reader to 1940’s Rome. All the narration was good but Stephen Hogan raises the books to another level, just wonderful listening.

A gripping and moving tale
Joseph O'Connor's second volume of his Rome Escape Line saga is as engaging as the first but the audio version is spoiled by the butchering of every Italian phrase, name and place name by the principal male reader. Hopefully he will ask advice on pronunciation if he is going to read the third volume.
