The Hammer of Eden is a pulsating, state-of-the-art suspense thriller from master storyteller Ken Follett, author of Never and The Pillars of the Earth.

A Deadly Threat
The FBI receive an anonymous threat from a terrorist group that claims it can trigger earthquakes.

A Lone Agent
Judy Maddox, an FBI agent with a point to prove, is tasked with investigating the threat by her obstructive superiors. She must discover if it is credible and, if so, where it comes from.

A State on the Verge of Destruction
When a suspected, machine-generated tremor is detected her investigation reaches a critical point – can she find those responsible, and their next target, before they trigger a catastrophe that will devastate the entire West Coast of America and the millions of people who live there . . .

Another fantastic story from Ken Follett you feel as if you are right in the middle of the story and it has you on the edge of your seat throughout

Absolutely brilliant

My first audible book. Ken is a favourite author of mine, so I hoped that the weirdness of having a book read to me would be smoothed by this; and thankfully it was, I enjoyed both the story and the narration.

Excellent as usual!

Making earthquakes as a Forceful and Terrifying Weapon is made to seem all too possible, and the reaction of The Establishment ("do nothing, and the threat will go away") is all too probable to leave the listening observer confronting this crescendo of events unmoved.

A Thrilling and Worrying Possibility?

Gripping story as usual from Ken Follett and very well performed couldn’t turn it off!

Great Characters

The amount of investigation and detail that went into all the subjects raised in this book was amazing.

Intrigue and conflict on so many levels.

I had to check that it was the same author, twice, so unlike any of his other stuff.
It was okay. The central idea quite clever, but nothing like as good as his historical books

Not like any other Follet book

I’m a great fan of Ken Follette, having read all of his novels. The writing and characters are great but the central premise of the earthquakes on demand machine is so improbable it undermines the credibility. Having said that I did listen to it till the end as the performance is absolutely brilliant and the strength of the writing is just so good. 7/10

Entertaining but flawed

I think I enjoyed this less than I might have because of the narration. However, it isn’t one of Ken Follett’s best.

Not his best

it took so long to get going and I nearly quit. He is my favourite author and I am most disappointed

not my favourite despite it being Ken Follett

Not the best storyline and narration could be improved. Previous novels always exceeded expectations. Characters not believable.

Somewhat disappointing read and predictive plot .
