About this listen
The wrestling legend Bob "Hardcore" Holly tells all in this autobiography that chronicles his journey from fighting in bars for money to the bright lights of the World Wrestling Federation. Holly reveals how he took more body slams and clotheslines outside the ring than in and that long before he was known as "Hardcore Holly", he had an unquenchable passion for professional wrestling.
Ultimately, Holly would hold the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hardcore Championship seven times, the WWE Tag Team Championship three times, and the National Wrestling Alliance World Tag Team Championship once. But in the midst of his career achievements was a roller coaster of success and frustration, and Holly reveals the plethora of missed opportunities and broken promises that marked his road to television stardom. Replete with fast motorcycles, faster cars, wrestling bears, betrayal, and lost love, Holly shares his uncompromised view of his past and the current state of professional wrestling.

Pleasantly Surprised
I wasn't sure I'd like this as I never had a strong opinion of Hardcore Holly either way. But I really enjoyed this book.

Brilliant listen
I grew up watching him as sparky plug then as hardcore holly. This was a great listen about someone who was always there but never broke through into mega stardom
I loved the ending to the book too.....a happy ending after a career when he never got the breaks he deserved

Excellent read
Very insightful honest and real from a guy who wrestled through the glory of the 90s. An inside feel to how the wrestling industry really is and not we we perceive it to be, also nice to beable to confirm myths I heard years ago.

Hardcore Book
This book for me was the best wrestling book I’ve read/listened to, seems like there is a lot of truths in this and Bob doesn’t hold back. An interesting insight on the wrestling business from a top wrestler.

Required reading for professional wrestlers
If you're a pro or a wannabe pro, or even just a fan of no nonsense pro wrestling talk from the glory days, this is a must. Direct, concise and extremely listenable. It would have been amazing to have Bob read it himself.

enjoyable wrestling book
I was excited to listen to this book. It's well written with some great stories, although you get the impression there are two sides to most of them.

One of the most honest wrestling biographies
Brutally honest, Bob Holly just tells it as he sees it without treading on eggshells. He respects the reader/listeners' intelligence & covers so many aspects of wrestling history as seen from his perspective - including the kliq, Montreal screw job, the Owen & Benoit tragedies, steroid use & gives his side of Internet rumours of him being a bully. A great read for any WWE smark even if you were never a big Bob Holly fan.

An amazing autobiography
Very interesting to hear what Bobs honest opinion on the WWe/WWF was like and to see what he and other wrestlers are like when they aren't on camera or in front of an audience
