Summary

Emmy Award-winning actress Tatiana Maslany narrates a brand-new special edition recording of the first audiobook in the worldwide best-selling trilogy from Suzanne Collins!

In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister's place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to death before - and survival, for her, is second nature. Still, if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

This special edition audiobook includes a bonus track Q&A with Tatiana Maslany!

Sister, tribute, revolutionary, the Girl on Fire—Katniss Everdeen has been known as a lot of things, but there is truly no character quite like the heroine of the The Hunger Games series. The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins is set in a future dystopian world where the Capitol keeps a tight hold on Panem, the country made up of what is left of North America, and its strictly divided 12 districts. The main trilogy follows Katniss Everdeen on her journey from an average, impoverished girl in a forgotten district to the symbol of resistance. Here's everything you ever wanted to know about Katniss.

Excellent performance by Tatiana

Just finished listening to the first book but now I’m so disappointed the other two books aren’t available yet by Tatiana. Any chance is it in the pipeline?
Such a great story by Suzanne Collins.

Great audiobook experience!!

Tatiana does an amazing job reading this book and she really does it justice! The only downside is the sound production, the voice sounds sorta weird throughout but completely fine in the end when she talks about the reading of the book. Kinda weird haha.

HG Special Edition

Loved the whole thing! Beautifully enacted creating an atmosphere which wraps you up in the thoughts, feelings and experiences of Katniss making it far more enjoyable and poignant than a narrator could do in the third person. Of course there’s far more than the film but one doesn’t spoil the other. And to get the perspectives of the lovely Tatiana Mashany afterwards is a lovely bonus. By the way, she sings with such empathy for the characters as Katniss I’m in tears throughout.
