About this listen
Who died and made someone else the boss of you?
In this powerful, straight-talking guide to getting to know yourself better, this and other pertinent life questions are explored. Designed in an informal conversational style, it’s packed with exercises, activities, quotes, and soul-searching questions right from the get go. With practical information, advice, and therapeutic techniques, this workbook will not only raise your self-awareness, but support you to become the best possible version of yourself according to nobody else but you. As humans, all we want is to be loved, accepted, feel connected, and like we belong. This all starts within the self. If we cannot offer these things to ourselves how can we hope to build healthy relationships with others?
What we do not heal, we repeat, so it’s important that we acknowledge our pain and release those stuck emotions from past traumas. Ultimately, you can flip the script, break the cycle, and write your own narrative in life. You are not defined by your past; you have the power to create the best possible future and enjoy the present journey just by being authentically you.
Through this book, you will learn what ingredients went into making you who you are today, but the book also offers insights and techniques to help you shift from a negative to a positive mindset. It will empower you to reflect on your life and make positive changes that will in turn inculcate a sense of peace and calm.
The author, Kamarun, is an expert at helping people and has spent the past 20 years supporting families, couples, and individuals with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, loss, bereavement, abuse, and much more to improve the quality of their lives. This workbook offers therapy for hearts and minds, it works well as a stand- alone self-help guide and alongside counselling interventions whilst receiving professional help.
Be brave. Have the courage to face yourself in a way you have never done before and reap the benefits!

fantastic self-help book!
A fantastic self help book thats really useful for working through any issues you might be having. The author is an experienced counsellor so you know the advice here is credible-therapy in a nutshell! There were loads of examples and exercises so its not just reading but practical ways to help you figure out who you really are. This book helped me a lot and I appreciated the personal touches the author included to show they understand the issues they discussed. Will be recommending to all my friends and family!
