Summary

Studde is on the trail of a drug smuggling ring that connects Wellende Hall with the cloistered world of Cambridge. It falls to Prudence to unravel the identity of the smugglers who may be forced to kill to protect their secret.

beautifully written and a compelling read

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it reflects the mores of its period, holds your attention to the end and is worthy of an Austen writing between the wars, several generations on.
I hope her other novels will soon be available on audible.
