Summary

When a distressed young woman arrives at their station claiming her friend has been abducted, and that the man threatened to come back and 'claim her next', detectives Carrigan and Miller are thrust into a terrifying new world of stalking and obsession.

Taking them from a Bayswater hostel where backpackers and foreign students share dorms and failing dreams to the emerging threat of online intimidation, hacking and control, The Intrusions explores disturbing contemporary themes with all the skill and dark psychology that Stav Sherez's work has been so acclaimed for.

Under scrutiny themselves, and with old foes and enmities resurfacing, how long will Carrigan and Miller have to find out the truth behind what these two women have been subjected to?

Ok. Narration from a continuity reader not actor

The author has successfully translated standard crime novel tropes into a technological backdrop. Unfortunately the story became quite predictable especially the final act. There were several plot connections to a previous novel which were unnecessarily distracting for a reader picking up this book afresh.
Narration was extremely clear but I longed for more acting and less careful newsreader tone.

Brilliant

This was the best in the series so far. I was disappointed at first that it wasn’t David Thorpe narrating, I hadn’t noticed that when I bought it but this narrator was also excellent.
This story is brilliant and has a fantastic ending which I felt was lacking somewhat in the last one.
Can’t wait for next in series

Don’t waste your time

I was misled by a review promising “a silence of the lambs “ level of narrative . My expectations may have been my own downfall here , but this was strongly help along by the book itself .
It was dull , predictable and its attempt at raw edgy suspense was so off the mark .
The author has obviously built himself a fan base and kudos to him, as I can’t see why anyone would want to read his work .
