Summary

The Last Letter is a haunting, heartbreaking and ultimately inspirational love story.“ (InTouch Weekly)

Beckett,

If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have.

I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride.

My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. It’s not fair.

And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart. She’s going to need help.

So if I’m gone, that means I can’t be there for Ella. I can’t help them through this. But you can. So I’m begging you, as my best friend, go take care of my sister, my family.

Please don’t make her go through it alone.

Ryan

Recommend this!

On the fence about this ? Go for it!! It’s such a beautiful story. (Be prepared to cry!) I didn’t really like the voice of the male narrator in the beginning, but it quickly changed. Both of the narrators were great!

Damn that ending.

Rebecca is such an accomplished author, one who gives with one breath, and takes away in the next. She lays all her cards on the table and you don't know it until you're sobbing your heart out on the afternoon school run.

Beckett and Ella "meet" in the unlikeliest of ways. Both surrounded in sadness and tragedy and that sadness and tragedy follows them in places throughout the book. Don't let that put you off though! There are plenty of happy, hopeful moments and the story ends with a (mainly) happily ever after. Well worth the tears. Sigh.

WOW

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A BOOK THAT WILL STAY WITH YOU FOR A WHILE THIS IS THE BOOK. TOTAL ROLLERCOASTER OF EMOTIONS FROM HEARTBREAK TO LOVE, SADNESS AND JOY. WITH MY COLD HEART EVEN I SHED MANY TEARS THROUGHOUT AND WITH AN ENDING THAT COMES FROM NOWHERE. WOW HIGHLY RECOMMEND AND EASY IN MY TOP 5 FOR THE YEAR. THIS BOOK WAS WELL NARRATED AND WITH TEDDY AND JENNIFER YOU CAN FEEL EVERY EMOTION THROUGH THIER VOICES.

Real tear jerker

Loved this book. Was expecting a run of the mill heartwarming romance but this is so much more. Read with a box of tissues because this book will tear your heart out in places but it is worth the read even if it's not the usual hea you'd expect.

I’m not often reduced to tears …

I loved everything about this - the characters, the storyline, the setting and the narration. I finished it in 2 days! It’s a wonderful story, with high highs and very low lows. At times I wanted to shake Ella and tell her to stop being so stubborn, at other times I was amazed by her strength and determination. Beckett is way too good to be true - are there actually any men out there like him?! 🤣
This is my first book by Rebecca Yarros but I’ve already added 2 more to my wish list.

Great, well performed story

One of the best books I have listened too. Pulled at my heart strings and could not prevent shedding a tear. The story and performance were also 5 Star.
