Very emotional two stories in one
Loved this book I was emotionally exhausted at the end but it was worth it this author is the only one to actually make me physically cry over the unfortunate circumstances in the plot I would very much recommend don’t for get tissues

Feel good story
I have to say this is the third book I’ve listened to by Rebecca Yarros and although her books are slightly cheesy, they always have engaging plot lines which hook me in and make me want to read more. With regards to this book, I’m a massive fan of WW2 history (and in fact live just a couple of miles from Middle Wallop) so this was right up my street. I really enjoyed the Scarlett storyline and loved the twist at the end. The only thing I struggled with was the narrator’s terrible English accents! Overall this is a nice gentle story with a great feel good factor so definitely one to read if you want a bit of escapism.

The plot twist
I am starting to get in to audiobooks. I like the narrators. I only wished that the books were read like a conversation instead of the men trying to do a female voice and vice versa.
I absolutely loves the book and the characters, Rebecca knows how to grab you and pulls you in everything.

Beautiful book stunning , not my normal read but it’s so nice , I’m normally a dark romance/ fantasy reader but this was lovely

Wow! A story to end 2021!
This is such a romantic book. it has all the feels and is without doubt A MUST READ!
I don't generally like WW2 books but this one had such love, poignancy and everything wrapped up so beautifully.
It had all the feels, the people you want to hate, succeed and ultimately a book with an excellent story.
if you are looking for a love story, then look no further! Just terrific and a great way to see out 2021!

Epic love story v’s problematic narration
The story was really enjoyable, and carried me through, however the narration left a lot to be desired, particularly the male narration of Scarlet & Jamesons storyline…the English accents could have done with a bit of work!
