About this listen
The Late Bloomer is the fourth volume of the Dangerous Old Woman Series with Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes.
"What makes talent bloom? Ask what makes a tree blossom. They are the same. It is not unfathomable. It only takes concentration. Concentration of energies is what makes a tree flower. Not bigger, not faster, not taking up more space. Rather, less space. Density. Pressure in hard places. Often, in the dark. Relentlessly. Freely. For as long as it takes. Hold faith, a gestation can go long and for good reason, and nothing much shows above ground. But then, one day..." - Clarissa Pinkola Estes, PhD
Are you waiting for New Life, for your talents to bloom? With The Late Bloomer, Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes presents volume four of her masterwork on the Wise Woman archetype, bringing you six sessions of origial tales, stories from her ethnic families, poems, blessings, and psychological commentary exploring the cycles of "burgeoning, blooming New Life."

Long but filled with beauty
So many wonderful stories, insights and lessons, and beautifully narrated by Clarissa too, making this an epic read, like her other books.

Beautiful
If you are familiar with her work then you will understand what a treat you have inside for you listening to her telling her own tales and then interpreting them with as much poetry as she imbues her stories with. You will never look at the emperors new clothes the same way! This is what audio books are made for

There is nothing else like this
She is honey to so many, we are blessed, with wishes and paths laid out in these tales. My little hope sings that this will be understood as the greatest riches of rare imaginings , a fine aperture

INSPIRING. ENRICHING. BEAUTIFUL. LOVE IT ❤️❤️❤️
Women who run with the Wolves ( by the same author) has been my favourite book of all time for over 20 years. The Late Bloomer is a strong contender.
Thank you Clarissa Pinkola Estes. I don't know you personally but you have inspired and revived me on many occasions 🌹🌹🌹

This book is a balm..
As a late bloomer woman raised by an ‘anima hag’ as the author puts it, this book made me feel understood and understand at the same time.
It is a deep and soulful experience and the audio version is wonderful ✨

Pivotal and Too Important To Miss
I’m speaking from my heart which is ignited beyond words. This book has traveled with me, coming to my ears, on trains, whilst walking my dog, lying in bed, looking out of the window. I am grateful, blessed and inspired many times over by this book. The myths and the relaxed and loving way in which they are told might make us assume this is a casual meeting, story teller to listeners, but it is more, more, much more than you can ever imagine. This is soul work offered in the most enjoyable way. I will not only re listen but delve into the other titles. Thank you Clarissa for this drink of water in the desert. 💚🙏
