Summary

You're never too old to have some fun . . . The little old lady is back! This time, Martha Andersson and her friends - the League of Pensioners - have left behind their dreary care home in Stockholm and are enjoying the bright lights of Las Vegas.

This is their opportunity for a new lease of life and they plan to make the most of it. But before long, they are up to their old tricks and with ingenious tactics, a pair of false teeth and a wheelchair each, they plot to outwit the security system at one of the casinos. As their antics become more and more daring, Martha and her friends head back to Sweden full of ideas for more money making schemes.

However, they aren't the only ones planning on stealing bucket loads of cash and soon find themselves pitted against a gang of dangerous criminals. Can the group of elderly friends work together to outsmart the younger robbers and get away with their biggest heist yet? Or will this job be a step too far for The League of Pensioners?

Enjoyable but a little long winded

I really enjoyed the first book, unfortunately this one wasn't quite as entertaining for me however I did enjoy it all the same and will be listening to the next one. (think maybe I just found it a little too long)

Great Story

Another brilliant installment of the league of pensioners. Can't wait to see what they might get up to next.

Another Brilliant Read

This second book in the series was as good as the first one. The robberies were so ingenious that I wonder if these were really carried out!! Lovely story about the older generation where I am in life right now. Loved that you are kept hanging on a thread to see if they get away with it all.

Quite enjoyable

the narration was good and clear, the plot was just far fetched enough to be amusing

Not as good as book 1

I liked the first one in this series because of its originality, good characters and good humour. I didn't like this one as much - the plot is more fragmented, and the narration seems more screechy.

Oh to grow old ungracefully!

I'm about to start the last book of this three book set. I've fallen in live with the characters, the idea of pensioners running around setting the world to rights is hopeful for what's to come for us all if we are lucky enough to grow old ungratefully! LOVE these books and the reader brings the book to life. She was the reason I stumbled across this book after listening to another of her readings. I will be sad to finish the last book.

This book only adds more dimensions to the already known and loved characters from Book 1.
