About this listen

The twenty-sixth book in the hugely popular Peter Decker and Rina Lazarus series from New York Times bestselling author Faye Kellerman

A disappearance…
When Bertram Lanz, a disabled man, goes missing from a local diner, detective Peter Decker is put on the case. He soon realizes there is more to the disappearance than meets the eye when he discovers Lanz’s nurse is missing too, and blood is found in her house.

A body…
Then, while combing the woods, searchers discover the remains of a young man who vanished during a camping trip years ago.

A detective facing his toughest case yet…
Juggling a hot case and a cold case, Decker races to find justice for the families. But as the answers become ever more elusive, he is forced to question if the woods will ever give up their dark secrets . . . and if these intertwining cases will ever be solved.

Another good listen, although it ended very abruptly with two strands of the story left hanging. I hope the rest of this story will be published soon.

Love this series

I've read or listened to all of Ms Kellermans books and mostly loved them. The Lost Boys fell a bit short with a vagueness I haven't experienced in her writing before, it all just seemed rather pedestrian.
I appreciate that every one has preferences with narrators, that what I like may not appeal to another, but for me, Mitchell Greenberg doesn't do Pete and Rina Decker (or Faye Kellerman),any favours.
There have been more audio books from this author that I've not been able to listen to because of the narrator. In fairness, not all Mitchell Greenberg. I can't understand why some male narrators try to 'do' a female voice? They mostly end up sounding ridiculous! I highly recommend the titles read by Richard Ferrone, in my opinion one of the best narrators.....ever!

Not terrible, but not up to usual standards.
