I had to preorder this book as soon as I finished the last one as I wanted to know how it got resolved. This gives a hint that it needs to be listened to in order to really get the background of the characters as this is referenced throughout. The lead detective is slightly traumatised, although most of this has been resolved in previous books - it is really the family and direct manager issue that is now being addressed. What I didnt understand is how so often she bypassed her manager and went to his manager - that would be interesting dynamic.

There are new characters introduced which look to be interesting.
The locked in murder was fun to resolve and I did appreciate the author's note at the end.

All in all didnt disappoint and now I cant wait for the next installment.
