Summary
Return to the enchanting world of the Montague siblings in the finale to the New York Times bestselling and Stonewall Honor-winning series, featuring a teenage Adrian Montague as he desperately seeks the now adult Monty and Felicity—the older siblings he never knew he had.
Adrian Montague has a bright future. The sole heir to his father’s estate, he is an up and coming political writer and engaged to an activist who challenges and inspires him. But most young Lords aren’t battling the debilitating anxiety Adrian secretly lives with, or the growing fear that it might consume him and all he hopes to accomplish. In the wake of his mother’s unexpected death, Adrian is also concerned people will find out that he has the mental illness she struggled with for years.
When a newly found keepsake of hers—a piece of a broken spyglass—comes into Adrian’s possession, he’s thrust into the past and finds himself face-to-face with an older brother he never knew he had. Henry “Monty” Montague has been living quietly in London for years, and his sudden appearance sends Adrian on a quest to unravel family secrets that only the spyglass can answer.
In pursuit of answers about the relic, the brothers chart a course to locate their sister Felicity. But as they travel between the pirate courts of Rabat, Portuguese islands, the canals of Amsterdam, and into unknown Artic waters, the Montague siblings are thrown into one final adventure as they face a ghostly legend that threatens their whole family.

Fantastic series
Wonderful escapism but with some really real characters. This book did a particularly good job with portraying the anxiety of the main character. Really enjoyed them all

Very unexpected story
I loved the first two books, but when I got into Adrian’s story in this last installment I realised that all three siblings resonated strongly with parts of myself.
The books went from intriguing to very emotional and touching. I appreciate the surprise I had with the way things ended up and really enjoyed this series.
Enjoy it to the end

Brilliant
Loved all these books. Engaging characters and so beautifully narrated. I would follow this narrator to books I may not otherwise read.

Absolutely splendid!
I was so excited to begin this book and what kind of turn it would take. The adventures these characters get up to pale in comparison to the rich and meaty character development that we get to enjoy - I mean this in the best way possible.
Lee's description of anxiety through Adrian is breathtaking and at times an echo of many thoughts of those that have anxiety. I cannot recommend this book, or this series, enough; the love simply pours out of it.

Brilliant
How fantastic to listen to a story where the main character's thought processes are like hearing about your own. I don't think I'd even realised just how debilitating those kind of thoughts can be until I heard then echoed back to me. Whilst I am nowhere near as bad as Adrian, the similarities were crystal clear. I was even more amazed at the end to hear the author based his symptoms on General Anxiety Disorder - a condition I've suffered from for most of my life. So I wasn't being paranoid 😂 I really could relate. I cannot praise the author enough for how she dealt with it.
Apart from that, the story was back up to the humour levels of Monty's book. It was great to have all three siblings together, though I would have liked to have had more of Percy in it.

Please don't let this be the last book 🙏🏻
These books have offered me the most wonderful escapism. This final book was sitting in my pre-ordered list for longer then anticipated, but very much worth the wait.
The story, the characters, the places - all depicted beautifully. as with the two books before this one I cried laughed and was left eagerly awaiting further adventures.
I am sad that this is due to be the final book, however am thankful that the series was put to paper.
Thank you in particular for the Authors notes at the end.
