About this listen
Here’s the “old-fashioned” strategy that billionaire Warren Buffett uses to earn 20 percent returns on his stock investments year after year.
Are you looking for a way to confidently invest in stocks without overpaying?
Do you wonder if it’s actually possible to beat the market?
Do you want a proven step-by-step method that takes the guesswork out of making investment decisions?
Everybody knows there’s money to be made in stocks. But the reality is only a fraction of investors actually turn profits.
If you’re a retail investor with no professional experience and you don’t have access to all the “insider knowledge” and resources that institutional investors have, you’re more or less gambling your money away.
According to the latest Gallup polls, 58 percent of American adults own stocks. But ask them what types of investments they own, and the majority of them can’t tell you.
Which means millions of individual investors are pouring millions of dollars into stocks they know nothing about.
No wonder why so many retail investors end up losing money.
Because instead of taking charge of their investments, they let professionals manage their money for them. The same professionals who rarely do better than the market—despite having the technical know-how and experience.
But here’s somegood news: you don’t need to be a pro investor to make money in the stock market.
Even billionaire investors Peter Lynch and Warren Buffett don’t rely on price charts and fancy indicators to make their picks. Instead, they focus on the fundamentals.
And that’s what this book is for. To show you how you can apply the same time-tested methods to your investment decisions.

As the Title Mentions
Brian has done an excellent job in compiling this difficult topic for the new investors' listening experience. I highly recommend having this in your Audible Library if you are either looking at getting into investing or a great refresher for the more experienced. A Common Sense Factor thumbs up

Makes you feel like you could do it!
Well, I have to be honest and admit that we are one of the ones who let a “professional” handle our investments in the stock market. We have read up on procedures before, but this book offers some hands-on reality techniques worth trying. It gives charts and diagrams and explains how to understand them. The case studies made it relevant and connected to my personal life. I appreciated the “takeaways” at the end of chapters to help review and glue in the focus. Resources are also included for readers who want a deeper perspective and challenge—great tool and well worth the purchase.

Easy to Understand guide to the stock market
Finally, a book that makes sense on stock investing. The author does a fantastic job at laying out and explaining investing and the stock market. He explained how to read charts and understand their meaning and significance in the bigger picture. The author explains how you have to take into consideration every aspect of the market reports describing stocks and then helps you do just that. I have always felt overwhelmed by the stock market, and this book made it much more doable for a person like myself with no formal training in investing.

Interesting approach
I enjoyed the real life examples throughout the book. This gave me a few new tips on footprint analysis and chart patterns. I also appreciated the historical notes about different traders, day traders, options traders, fund managers, really the whole market. This is a great introduction and helpful to tune up your trading, and clean up sloppy habits that develop when you get too comfortable in your current trading strategies. Thanks!

A lovely read.
This book was such an amazing read. What I truly appreciate is the book's promise in it's title, it indeed lives up to being comprehensive guide to technical analysis. I gained so much knowledge from it which would be very useful for me further. The strategies explained in this book were impressive. The examples and real life- trading scenarios provided help bridge the gap between theory and application. The narration was nice too. Overall I highly recommend it!

Great audiobook for newbies
I have been trying to learn about reading for the past few months. This is the one book that really helped me understand trading. The author breaks down the importance of technical analysis. The information is explained in a way that helps you understand what you need to do and is great for beginners. This book encourages you to make your own decisions when trading. I highly recommend this audiobook to anyone that wants a deeper understanding of trading and does not have confidence in their decision making skills when trading.

Great beginner's guide
This audiobook is as beginner-friendly as it is comprehensive, does an excellent job at demystifying the process of investing, and serves as a robust educational tool for those new to the world of stocks.
The core idea behind this audiobook is that technical analysis isn't the only tool for successful investment. Instead, it argues that an understanding of fundamentals is more crucial, aligning with the philosophies of famous investors like Peter Lynch and Warren Buffett. Readers are taught to avoid relying solely on price charts and technical indicators and to develop a comprehensive understanding of the companies they invest in.
This audiobook is an excellent primer for retail investors overwhelmed by the stock market's complexity. Its strength lies in its ability to break down complex financial concepts into easy-to-understand language. While it may not instantly turn you into a billionaire investor, it does provide a roadmap to make informed, confident investment decisions.
It's a straightforward and practical guide that encourages you to actively manage your investments rather than leaving your fate in the hands of professionals. However, the reader should be aware that successful investing requires continuous learning. While this audiobook provides a solid foundation, it's just the beginning of your investment journey. The narrator's performance is sometimes dry and slow, but I solved that problem by listening at 1.2x speed.
Great beginner's guide, and I highly recommend it.
