About this listen

A dreamer is born - the exhilarating prequel to the ground-breaking, extraordinary Bone Season series.

In the perilous heart of Scion London, a dangerous and valuable poltergeist is on the loose - and it must be caught before chaos erupts on the streets of the capital. Here, the clairvoyant underworld plays by its own rules, and rival gangs will stop at nothing to win such a magnificent prize.

Sixteen-year-old Paige Mahoney is working for Jaxon Hall, the most notorious mime-lord in the city. He thinks she is hiding a powerful gift, but it refuses to surface. Maybe this is the opportunity she needs to secure her position in his gang, the Seven Seals....

Unexpectedly good read.

A friend recommended this series to me a couple of years a go, so due to trusting in her recommendations where books are concerned I took the plunge and bought this series. I am not a fan of dystopian novels normally so I started this being completely unsure of what I would think. I was however surprised and really enjoyed the story, it hooked me in and I could not wait to find out what would happen to Page and the rest of the gang. After reading this short introduction to the series I will Definitely be planning to read the other books. I am actually quite excited about the prospect of this series. For such a young Writer Samantha Shannon has a fantastic talent, to create a whole futuristic world can't be easy however she makes you believe in it and brings you in. If this book is anything to go by with the others being longer I am looking forward to learning more about page and her adventures.
