About this listen

What if your worst enemy… was your daughter’s new teacher?

Thirty years ago, Georgia Smith was my best friend. Then one terrible day, everything changed.

I’ll never forget her beautiful face, twisted with hate, the last time I saw her. But I never thought I’d have to see it again.

Georgia is back.

She’s my daughter’s new favourite teacher.

And now my baby girl is gone...

An absolutely 100% gripping psychological thriller with a jaw-dropping twist to keep you listening all night. Perfect for fans of The Housemaid, The Perfect Marriage and anything by Louise Candlish or TM Logan.

I liked the premise and the characters - Frances is complicated but that makes her interesting. The hardest thing about this story is that it is incredibly confusing to listen to. I think this would be less so if reading myself. I know some of the confusion is deliberate- which is clever but once you recognise that it’s still really difficult to work out who is talking and about who. I still don’t really get it and feel I need to see the actual book! The timeline is really muddled and although I enjoyed the story I’m still left uncertain. The narrator needs to pause more!

Good thriller
