About this listen

Mags Barkworth still suffers the effects of a life-changing tragedy over a decade ago.

She knows her husband loves her. She knows he would never do anything to hurt her, or their daughter. But what if the voice in her head, the one she's pushed away with therapy and anti-depressants, is telling the truth?

What if it's all a lie?

When Tam, their daughter, draws an uncannily detailed picture of a place she's never been, Mags's life starts to unravel. But even in her most paranoid moment, Mags could never have guessed the secret she is destined to uncover.

I really didn’t like the dad and couldn’t understand why the wife put up with him. That said I enjoyed the story despite it being a bit ‘out there’. Still it is a good read hence 4 stars

A little far fetched but interesting

Thoroughly interesting storyline I will definitely look the Author up. Very well narrated as well.

Very good

What a good story! So different to what I’d normally listen to but I’m so glad I did. I liked the way that every time the story revealed something, there was something else unexpected around the corner. I will be looking for other books by this author.

Loved this!

I don’t read physical books in this genre but weirdly enjoyed this one on audible.

Definitely sci-fi thriller

I do like this narrator, I believe I've come across him a few times. And the story passes muster.
All in all you could do worse than listening to this.

Very listenable.

This was interesting and hard to listen to sometimes there was an air of pathos about it. I did enjoy it though.

Very different

The only thing that was off was that the narrator was terrible with his accents!! His Idea of a southern accent was way off! I am from the South and trust me, I know! He just couldn’t get it right. His Bostonian accent was not as bad but it wasn’t good either-the plot of the story was brilliant and the delivery was very well written! I knew there was something up with the husband, but I was thinking he was the bedroom killer, while he was off in the U.S. so much. Even with the bad accent, I really enjoyed this book and will look for more by this author.

The Narrators bad accents but otherwise excellent book!

It was clear early on, what the plot was. This is what you get when you merge two unrelated storylines and then only provide just one work detail for all partipants (the rest simply was not described).
Well told but as the outcome was clear early on, a bit boring

Predictable

Some elements were a little unexpected, but overall it was well crafted with fleshed out characters and enjoyable twists.

Great pacing, satisfying all round

Liked it generally, not a story I’d heard before. Would give a thumbs up but not the most exciting

Interesting story
