I am not a "political" person, but was interested in this story by Nadine. I am shell shocked at what goes on in the Conservative party and beyond. The skullduggery (I can hear Boris using that word) is beyond comprehension how MP's and Ministers look down on us plebs to suit their own "needs" This book is a must read, even if you are like me and are looking to rwad yiur 1st political book.

well am not that clued up on politics but wow some skulduggery goes on. us voters have not got a say in anything wether we vote for or against it seems it doesn't matter. the might few do what they want with our country,money, health, lives . I've lost faith in the government but would have faith if Boris got back in. brilliant job Nadine exposing the bad blood in there, wish more were as honest . we live in hope . audible version very good . I recommend it .

Really in depth ,Reflective understanding of events made me review for the future of my polical views. Thought provoking for sure. The author has put herself in the line of fire. A must read whatever your political views.

How shocking and sad that British politics, media and parts of the Civil Service standards have slipped so low

Even Boris Johnson cared enough for the reader to read the whole of his 900 odd pages but Dorine could not be bothered which was a pity because it adds a taste of authenticity and a bond between the author and reader. Not as revealing as made out in the blurb

If this really is how the Tory party have been manipulated and worked over recent decades, it is both shameful and horrifying. An utter betrayal of voters, decent and trusting people everywhere, the principles of British politics and everything we stand for.
And if this really is true, where are the police, where are the media, where are our saviours and where are the people with backbone enough to stand up and do something about it?

Utterly and Heartbreakingly Staggering….

I m have no real perspective on the issues Nadine raises but the story told here was fairly interesting and the narrator brings the material to life in a compelling and personal way. There are times when characters feel “heroically” portrayed when the author appears a bit close to them or holds them in very high reverence. I found it interesting to compare this to Politics on the Edge which felt more tangible.
