About this listen
"I think you have produced the first truly credible examination of the entire event that is both coherent and correspondent in regard to all of the facts." (Dr. Raymond W. Boeche, founder and former director of the Fortean Research Center)
“The object was hovering on legs”
“Something being tested in the area”
“A world of trouble”
“Minds were manipulated”
In the final days of December 1980, strange encounters and bizarre incidents occurred in the heart of Rendlesham Forest, Suffolk, England. Based upon their personal encounters, many of the military personnel who were present at the time believed that something extraterrestrial came down in those dark woods. What if, however, there was another explanation for what happened four decades ago?
What if that explanation, if revealed, proved to be even more controversial than the theory that aliens arrived from a faraway world? The ramifications for the field of Ufology would be immense. In his new, sensational book, Nick Redfern reveals that one of the most famous UFO cases of all time was really a series of top secret experiments using holograms, mind-control programs, deception, disinformation, conspiracies and cover-ups. The shocking truth of a 40-year-old mystery is now revealed.
Nick Redfern is the author of more than 60 books. They include Flying Saucers from the Kremlin; The Roswell UFO Conspiracy; Women in Black; Men in Black; Nessie; Chupacabra Road Trip; The Black Diary; and 365 Days of UFOs. Nick has appeared on many TV shows, including the National Geographic Channel’s Paranatural; the SyFy Channel’s Proof Positive; and the Travel Channel’s In Search of Monsters.

The content itself is well structured.
1. A claim is made or a snippet of an alien story is told.
2. He then outlines a scientific phenomenon that is very very similar and would explain how such a thing could have happened without the involvement of aliens.
3. Finally, he underlines the obvious and rehashes the story, intertwining the two together.
It’s well written but I feel like the content itself could have been a fraction of the length. It’s like when I would add fluff to boost the word count of my essay in school.
Each chapter could easily be summarised by a small article and no content would be missing. It’s a good read but it’s just too long.

However Like me I don't believe it was a UFO incident and it was refreshing to hear a different theory on the subject. Very interesting to listen too though.
Another Rendlesham theory

Fascinating take on Rendlesham

Redfern shows a complete lack of awareness of other similar events going on around the country at the same time, and in times past that were identical in nature to Rendlesham which were definitely NOT military experiments. Unless you think the Elgyn Lights in 1905 were all a product of time-travelling military miscreants from the 1980s of course.
Nor were the Dyfed UFO Sightings of the late 1970s; some of which bore a startling resemblance to Rendlesham in every aspect, including a darting red light being in a forest, white spheres splitting and sending out rays etc. Not to mention other sightings all around the globe around the same time of nearly identical things.
Redfern is a fantasist. This is painful to listen to, but also strangely hilarious. I think he's been watching too many episodes of the X-Files, Star Trek and Star Wars. Avoid.
