About this listen
I'll do anything not to marry the girl my parents want me to.
Including marrying her brother in a drunken panic.
I'm not gay, but I can fake it long enough to get our parents off my back, right?
Cue hiding out for the next two years, but nothing is that simple, because I'm offered a spot on the US National team.
Now we have to fake it for the entire world as the poster boys of gay fencers while Colin makes me doubt everything I think I am.
I'm not prepared for all the ways I depend on Colin. Or the place he's filling in my life.
But I can't keep this up.
I'm slipping on a national stage.
And he's going to press every button until I snap, ruining this for us both.

this one was even better
How is it even possible? I mean, I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED 'On guard' and Isaac and Oliver... I didn't think Owen and Colin could top them, but somehow... ok, they're all right there, but for different reasons.
Colin and Owen's were inevitable. Since the first time we hear about them in OG, you know there is no other way this story would end. What I didn't expect was the way they got together. I mean, it was a bit predictable if you've read volume 1, but somehow, it took me by surprise by the way it happened. It was so perfect.
I loved seeing Oliver and Isaac in this book as well. The four of them together are hilarious, and their dynamic is so good.
Owen is not an easy character to read about sometimes. Your heart will break for him, and you'll constantly find yourself wanting to hug him.
Colin is easy to love, but you'll find yourself being frustrated sometimes for the way he sees himself.
I think each of them was exactly what the other one needed the most, and they came together so effortlessly... they didn't even realize it when it happened, and I loved that.
It's a fun and lovely read, but do not underestimate how powerful these characters are. The mental health rep is amazing in this book. It's a different kind of trauma from book 1, but it's just as powerful.
The narrators did an amazing job. This audiobook is amazing. I know for a fact that I'll listen to this series over and over and over again for a long time.
10/10 - highly recommend 🥰✨️

this is just ridiculous
I tried 25% but my annoyance kept me from enjoying the romance. I persevered through the over the top mother, and luckily she took a back seat. But then the over the top brother stepped up. How he micromanages Owen's life is impossible and the weird thing is: he marries, drops Owen, and expects Colin to step up without warning, instruction or explanation.
The narration was fine but could be done with more distinct voices.
