About this listen
A ship stranded halfway across the galaxy. A difficult and lengthy journey home. A homeworld in urgent need of their return. And now they are running out of food. The crew of the Aurora must now trust their new allies in order to survive. But their situation may be far more serious than they imagined. And their actions could have repercussions across the galaxy. Their journey home may just have gotten slightly more complicated.

Would you listen to The Rings of Haven again? Why?
i would listen to this again because although the story is easy to follow, there is so much depth to the story some of the details may be missed.just what i want from a sci-fi series

Having said that it is the continuation of the struggles of our intrepid band of voyagers trying to get home. And is a pleasant listen with action that keeps you interested and characters you want to learn more about. Some of the plotting is over broad and you can see events coming well in advance but the author has been able to put in a few twists and surprises to keep it interesting. The main thing is that the story moves along and is not full of filler or verbal excesses.
Other than being half a novel this I recommend this one.
Abrupt ending but still fun.

What did you like best about The Rings of Haven? What did you like least?
Least: well too short, I get the impression that this guy is ripping readers off by having a short book for the same price and the story line is very weak, do some shopping in a supermarket then go to the farm to buy in bulk. Buy the series but this one is short to make money for an author who couldn't be bothered to write a good story. Not impressed. If you’ve listened to books by Ryk Brown before, how does this one compare?
One of the weak onesWhat about Jeffrey Kafer’s performance did you like?
Yes it is OK. No problems thereWas The Rings of Haven worth the listening time?
NoAny additional comments?
Just a very weak storyline and really there were many times when the story was repeated. I think he ran out of ideas and wanted to produce a series of books to make lots of money. Disappointed.Reasonable book, just short and boring

It was pleasant enough to listen to, but I wouldn't have missed any thing from reading a 1000 word summary.
The first book held up much better as a stand alone story, even if the ending is a complete tease.
The narrator isn't great; his natural accent is very noticeable in all characters. Given that most of the characters are meant to be from different places with different accents it detracts from the immersion to have them all sound like they grew up on the same block. Except for the cliché Russian accent; that sounds... different.
Pretty good, but feels like filler material.
